    Merch is a great idea, if there are existing designs still knocking around I can use those or alternatively we can get new ones put together. Then when we all meet up we can wear them and look like some company on a day out or something.

    actually i liked the tilde design from years back, i think it was hessi's work? the cube/cog idea would be pretty cool as well. so many possibilities, how does mapcore want to represent itself?

    to be honest, we could make anything happen. i bet people here wouldn't mind drawing up a concept for a logo for mapcore, or make designs for a couple of different shirts. then some admin type would just have to speak to cafepress or one of those other t shirt making companies about making it happen.

    yes, let's make a competition, submit your designs and if they are vaguely usable they get made into t-shirts. and we have a big bunch for people to choose from.

    make sure all rights are signed away to mapcore so the funds can go to keeping the core up to date and alive.

    which one of the admins is going to do this? we still need a donate button as well. i have used this before to make payments where paypal was not an option. it's safe, secure, really good alternative to paypal for those that cannot use it:

    The forum home page is definitely going to enjoy an extensive reworking sarge mat, at the moment I'm waiting on the things I mentioned on the first page but it'll be good stuff.

    As for the competition, a most splendid idea. We're briefly discussing in the staff forum how to coordinate it and do all the donation stuff, should get this going within a few days. The support and love in this thread is most appreciated by all so on behalf of all MapCore mod and admin types: thanks guys!!

    And yes, the cube/cog theme can safely be abandoned; no need to let past conventions limit creativity.
