Yeah I remember it always being on the back of his head. It was even on the back of his head in the movie, and here's a shot from the first game:

Looking sexy nice, cant wait!
Quote from ThrikWish the video wasn't so bright, though — made some parts look worse than they should have done. Unless that's how the game actually looks in which case I'll be adjusting the hell out of that.
Was that a bible I saw potentially being used to kill someone?
It's quite washed out in that video, there's bits of the level that are somewhat bright but also really dark areas. There's gonna be a playthrough video released at some point ala the E3 one, hopefully that's gonna be less bright. Oh and the bible is definitely a weapon/distraction, ended up not using it in the playthrough being shown to the press tho.
Mazy any demo soon ? ![]()

Looks ace, I can't wait to play another Hitman game. I just hope there isn't too much gunplay.
So, I learned yesterday that there'll be a Gameplay demo at PAX East on Saturday, definitely going to check it out! It will be that hospital map I assume?
moar like the Library level IMO
It's gonna be a level that haven't been shown before~not exactly sure when the hands on stuff will happen tho
I'm so impatient ![]()
me and generalvivi and furyo and deceiver and others went to the PAX East debut, and were shouting obscene things at the screen the whole time ![]()
Um it was a nunnery (?) where you start in an elevator shaft, hide through some hallways, crawl through a vent (we all kind of flinched when we realized there was a giant vent there, to be honest), hide some more, throw a dead dude into a ball pit, etc. Then the second playthrough, he shot everyone with guns and killed people with props.
I understand a lot of the Arkham City-ish design choices (x-ray "flame vision" that shows enemy patrol paths) and the stealth they had on display seemed to be more about improvising and being impulsive vs. sitting behind a corner and memorizing patrol paths yourself. That, combined with Splinter Cell-ish instant kill tag things... yeah, it's designed to sell.
But it was a little jarring in that I always found Hitman to be more like a methodical puzzle game / social camouflage game, but I guess that's not very interesting to watch. I felt like they showed the least interesting parts of Hitman, when Blood Money shined more with stuff like the Mardi Gras crowds or Suburban birthday party with all these different paths and consequences. Comparatively, this was pretty much a corridor with grunts.
As always -- I reserve judgment, PR demos aren't the real thing, etc.
Ah, that's one of my levels, thought they were gonna show something new. Though it won't have Blood Money levels of freedom in the Orphanage level that was shown, then I can say that version that will ship will be a lot more sandboxish and open in approach. There will be levels that pretty much provide the amount of freedom that Blood Money had, tho what's been shown so far has been quite linear and scripted.
Yeah CJ, Deceiver, Vivi and I met up with Fuzzdad and Fuzz yesterday and went to the Hitman gameplay panel. My personal feeling was that it still felt rough around the edges, but it had finally managed to instill in me a proper Hitman feel when played "pro". The videos so far clearly couldn't show that, and felt way too Splinter Cell Conviction to me. While part of that is still very true when going about it guns blazing, the intense stress of managing to remain unseen at all times was the definite highlight.
Fuzzdad — there's a name (and dude) I've not seen for a long time. ![]()
Really don't like the look of these trailers tbh.
Sweet man, looks cool ![]()
Looking real good, Mazy! I enjoyed Blood Money thoroughly so I'll be picking this up for sure.
Not relevant to Absolution, but I saw this on reddit titled 'HItman winning since 2000' and had a nice chuckle.

Haha aye, first time I saw ragdolls in a game was in the first Hitman game. There were probably other games with ragdolls before it, but it actually also served a purpose gameplay wise~
