It's funny that insta mentioned this because I used to urinate a lot at Ubisoft and people would always make fun of me.

It should take no longer than 6 months to feel settled in, then it gets much easier - as you learn who does what best, meaning who to bug if you're stuck.
Best advice I can give is, don't feel ashamed to say you don't know! Rather than sit on the issue get up and ask around and find out who will know the answers, this gets much easier once you know your team.
Grats, well deserved ![]()

I agree, it's probably 6 months to feel settled in as in part of the team, the workflow and you actually know pretty much how everything works and you feel very comfortable without any kind of technical issues.
Because settling in with the basics only takes a couple of weeks really, if that much, from there on in, it's progressive learning curve.
indeed. tbh there are always going to be things about the toolset you won't know, they are constantly evolving and exporters are constantly changes. Theres nothing wrong with asking if your stuck.
oh all that innocence and enthusiasm, don't lose it and burn yourself out man. take it easy out there ![]()
Congrats man, nothing else to add over what was said already. Just take it one day at a time and learn as much as you can!
Congrats Pogo, well deserved
!
Woah, congrats!! Well deserved, you've been working a lot on your portfolio so I'm happy to see it payed off (not that I ever doubted it would though
)
Ask a lot of questions. Just don't tap people's shoulders while they're listening to music, instead go pitter-patter bananas on their desk (GENTLY) until they notice you. Also don't give people back rubs while you're asking questions (or when you don't).
Congratulations dude, well deserved.
Grats Pogo~

Yep, that's why Furyo and Rick left, they were tired of getting sexually harassed every day.
Hahaha.
Thanks for all the kind support guys, it's really nice to hear you think I deserved the job. I have a lot left to learn but I'm really passionate and excited about it, so it should be fun!
