Been hearing you can finish it in 4 1/2 - 5 hours I really want to try the multiplayer though.

Ok I had a long post detailing my thoughts but I've decided to really hold judgement until I finish the campaign...so I edited my post. I want to be totally fair to this game and not just post my gut reaction to the first 45 minutes of the SP campaign.

Anyway, in short the game does have problems but I'm willing to give it a chance. More to come...

Ordered it the other day, but I am kinda considering canceling that based on what I'm hearing. Was mainly interested in the SP, and it sounds like its the MP where the meat is, and with Crysis 2 coming out next week then it seems like there's plenty of shooters to go around. Hmmm.

Man, San Fransisco was literally full of Homefront adds, and I haven't heard about this game for like a few weeks ago now. I guess they really are putting a lot of money on the marketing of this thing, but that doesn't really make it a good game now does it?

I'm very skeptical about this, since I see this taking the same boat as Medal of Honor did.

TBH the game looks like highly concentrated "meh". But that's just how it looks, I'm all-ears for mapcore reviews!

I absolutely love the multiplayer on BC2.. Is Homefront more like that, or is it more like Call of Duty multiplayer?

Was the same at E3 last year, they had an entire parking next to the convention center decorated in barbed wire and flags, with costumed guards at the entrance. Looked pretty expensive.

Cancelled my pre-order, gonna play MotorStorm Apocalypse and PixelJunk Shooter 2 instead

5 hour single player campaign. No thanks. MW2 was only forgivable for its short campaign because all 6 hours of it was non-stop amazing.

Oh but 5 hours will be so worth a steam sale buy. Looking forward to the sale in a few months.

    I LIKE SHORT CAMPAIGNS !

there is nothing wrong with a campaign that clocks in under 4-5 hours as long as its:

    1) awesome and

    2) comes in a box that has a price tag that is less than 30$ !

more "portals" and less "gears of wars" please !
