I started reading the books when

, because i just couldn't wait one week to find out what happened next. And now I'm 30 pages away from finishing book two. One thing that surprised me was that I had just read a section in book two before I went to bed on sunday and when I woke up on monday to see the final episode in season one the scene I had just read the night before was in there. So they are taking some liberties with the series, which I think is good. That particular scene could might as well have happened there.

For those of you who want to know which scene it is:

Good choice. Pretty much my favourite TV show.

I normally don't like dramas, but I'm really hooked on this. Everything is so well done, and does a great job of capturing what society was like back at the turn of the 60s. I was aghast when I saw the family having a picnic and throwing all their trash out into the park's grass instead of picking it up. Then I remembered the tree huggers hadn't taken over yet.

That's one of the things that i love so much about Mad Men the contrast between the past and today. I thought it might be a bit over the top but then i talked to my parents about it and they told me that heavy drinking and smoking actualy was accepted at work back then and in some jobs jobs it was a must if you wanted to be part of the team.

Also it's just so extremely stylish. I always look with awe at the suits and ties that Don Draper wears.
