Just watched Lilya 4-Ever. I'm just depressed, man.

Watched another couple of movies: Chillerama, Aah! Zombies!, and Wristcutters.

"Chillerama" is a movie within a movie within a movie. It consists of 3 short movies inside the actual movie, all filled with popculture references ... and nothing but toilet-humour (Wadzilla? Come on). I shit you not, it's nothing but references and jokes related to sex, feces, homoerotism, etc. "THIS IS GENERAL BUKKAKE! ENGAGE OPERATION MONEYSHOT!". That moment made me laugh hard though.

The short movies are supposed to be homages or parodies of old horror movies, complete with bad special effects and corny dialogue, so if you like that sort of thing you probably feel right at home. The difference is that the old movies are much better than this childish crap

"Aah! Zombies!" is what it sounds like; a zombie movie. But it has one very interesting thing going on: we get to view the world through normal peoples eyes and through the zombies eyes. To the zombies, it appears like nothing has changed and that they are just tripping or something, while for non-infected they are walking corpses, up until the revelation that they are infact zombies. "Oooh!". This beds for lots of misunderstandings and hilarity. One of the more original zombie movies I've seen so far.

"Wristcutters" .. no it's not about emo-kids entirelly. It's about people ending up in a strange afterlife world when they've taken their own life (through drugs, depression, car-accident, razorblade to the wrist, etc). And this world is devoid of happiness. You can't even smile there. Everything is in saturated colours, depressing, broken down, and very boring. And if you drop anything, it's lost forever. It's a purgatory for suicidal people really. Quite decent movie.

I watched The Hidden Fortress by Akira Kurosawa a few days ago. It was great action/adventure with lots of comedic moments. Film was a big influence for George Lucas when he wrote the Star Wars script if you didn't know.

I watched three movies this week:

- Taxi Driver. Meh, could have been better. I didn't like the music used in the movie and I felt it was too long and the finale was pretty underwhelming. Great performance though.

- Stalker. Really great, the actors are very good and the movie is very dream-like. I felt that the first part was better than the second part though. Difficult movie to grasp but I really dig it.

- Hard Candy. Not bad at all! Patrick Wilson and dat Ellen Page are great. The movie is a bit too long though and could have been more interesting if

Yeah I know. I thought it was way too loud and didn't fit the movie in a lot of scenes.

I started Boardwalk Empire today and I'm digging it. I can't believe I never watched it before.

I've been watching 'Battlestar Galactica' lately, I'm half way through the second season. Its so damn good! brilliant sets, good actors, great characters, really gritty sci-fi without silly lasers and what not. Defo recommend if nobody has watched it!

I watch a lot of movies, and not all of them I post here obviously, but this one, make sure you watch it guys!

I don't watch a lot of movies, but I was ill for a few days and couldn't game (yeah I was THAT ill ).

The Thing 2011 - If you're very bored I'd recommend this. Fun to see some badass norwegians... but other than that; meh.

Contagion - Really liked this one. Got a very compelling realistic tone and feel. Highly recommend it!

Fright Night - No masterpiece, but quite funny and definitely enjoyable. Also, it helps that the main char's girl is fucking hot (and for me atleast - age-appropriate).

Straw Dogs - Nice buildup to the climax, really entertaining to watch. The movie did have some hick-ups but it was definitely worth the time.

So... yeah.
