Finally got to rank 45. Loving the AS VAL, can't wait until it gets more ammo next patch.

Well a slight accuracy nerf while moving and slightly more recoil I can deal with. The weapon fills a void for me because I really don't get on with Engineer and Support's weapons due to their lack of long-range effectiveness, which is a pain as I only play big maps really.

That video is excellent, and yes indeed I have tried a scoped 870MCS. Not particularly good with it as I get bummed in the gob if I encounter enemies close up.

Nope, it's crap. Just wanted an excuse to post some viking-badassery.

My weapon of choice as an engineer is usually a M4A1 with silencer and grip (both attachments reduce recoil and helps you to land more rounds accurately). I haven't used the VAL too much but I've never felt that it outdid the more accurate carbines on long ranges.

Saw a video of a new map in action and it didn't look too interesting unfortunately. BF3 hit detection and net code doesn't do well in close quarters. I can see the balance woes from miles away too.

I'm hoping some of the new weapons will add some flavour though.
