Every time I try to play tonight I get disconnected after a few seconds of joining the server. Looking at the forums, apparently this is very common, and tends to happen whenever there's a busy time. Good job EA, way to fail at everything I guess.

Goddamn bullshit. The game STILL isn't working in multiplayer, and after trying a "repair install" in Origin it's instead rendered my game completely unlaunchable. It tries to install, says "Installing" for a few minutes, then ends silently back on "Ready To Install". Deleted the entire game directory and now it's reloading. If I didn't have the kind of internet that makes shrugging off 11 gigs possible I'd be shooting people from the rooftops right now.

At least a complete reinstall of all 11 gigs of the game fixed the kicking stuff

Now I'm going to go play an actually good videogame

It's not PC's fault that Rick broke everything personally with his implementation of PunkBuster and poor management of the servers and game updates.

why do the iranian game designers need to have blurred faces? is it because they would be attacked if they showed their real identity? you know, the most negative comment i got when someone found out i worked on video games was "oh, that's not really my kind of thing".

When you consider all this propaganda about Iran supposedly having nuclear weapons and the sanctions made against them in the news... you can kinda see that this is a bit close to home. It's like the same sort of reaction to 'No Russian', yes it's a game but sometimes there are lines you don't cross... a lot of people condemned that scenario, for me any shock factor it was trying to create dissipated because it added nothing to an already wooden storyline full of holes. I highly doubt they'll get any kind of apology from anyone though.

yeah, remember when rockstar apologised for every single joke they ever made in the GTA series, and that time they made a game where you could have underage gay relationships, and that time you fought every chinese person in new york (and they all worked in laundry shops).
