Liam, you have weird opinions about everything.

Oh... I thought this was a fairly legitimate opinion haha! Other times I may... Have been trolling... But this time I am being completely serious. I much prefer the Battlefield 2 soundtrack (I absolutely love Battlefield 3 though!)

I don't think the BF theme tune was actually in BF2, except for maybe the epic MEC remix. I just love these sort of songs, brings back so many memories!

Maybe it's because you never really hear any music in multiplayer? I always used to love the long loading times just to listen to the music

I'm going to weigh in and agree here too. While I am partial to the techno-glitch-wub-wub of BF3, musically I much prefer BF2's rendition.

Me and my mates have been playing a fair amount of this over the last few days. Really enjoying it overall. The only thing that really, really irks me is the limited number of squads, and how it auto forces people into them when they join. Let me create my own squad, and don't automatically fill it with noobs who won't team play, please.

I guess they do that to force noobs to start caring about team-play, and pros caring about noobs caring.

That's too bad that they changed it from BC2 where you could choose whether to join a squad or not. I'm so terrible I feel bad for whoever I get put into a squad with.

Trying to organise that over in-game chat is next to impossible though, and the commo-rose is hardly fit-for-purpose at the moment. Though as far as I'm aware there is an update in the works aimed at improving the commands available in the rose. Player skill isn't something that bothers me, it's when you're lumped with someone who just isn't interested in playing as a team, and they're your squad leader.

i don't get it guys, you CAN if you want, not to join a squad, and you CAN create a squad from scrach and invite your friends, make your squad private or public

MEC loading tune was one of the greatest BF songs of all time, the whole menu music for BF2 was incredible.

I think it's fair to say that Battlefield 2142 by far contains the best rendition of the theme regardless of your feelings about the game itself.

I do like BF3's crazily distorted version, though. Rest of the soundtrack is nice, too. Although again I think BF2142 has the musical edge even though BF2 is a close second, they really were on fire doing the music for that game:

I agree with that (until BF3 came along), but I wasn't wanting to turn this into that kind of thread.
