Nah, if you try the victory crawl on my server you deeead.
I crawl between, bush people and people who forget to crouch just above the lip of the rise towards the people that disarm and the best spot on the map to get an easy kill streak.
Hah, that pictures epic Maxy. I normally paly in a triangle between Cluster fuck zone, MCOM B and Bush People
.
Spot on Mazy, unless I'm defending, I don't let anyone up that lazy designed victory crawl wall.
I'm all over this lazy ass map, but sometimes i'm with my m4 shooting the shit out of "crowling victory wall" guys, really fun ![]()
Something that is ridiculous is that you can destroy knee-high walls by deploying your health/ammo pack into it ![]()
I have so many bad points about this.. beta, alpha, pre-release, final, after-final.. I dont' care what version. Here are some:
*Some players have this prone-stance kind of form yet they run around like normal. Means, not much of a chance spotting a snake appearing out of nowhere and swiss-cheeseing me.
*Instadeaths when not receiving headshot. I remember DICE being so strict how even snipers won't do one-shot-kills unless it's head (I might also remember wrong). Yet I receive one-shot-death by some SMG toys from other end of map.
*Hit-reg is just something awful. I mean, Why it seems every year hit-reg in mp-games usually just get more and more loose. Might be just me though.
*Weapons being inaccurate and feeling like real guns, no spraying like in that other Modern Shooter. Well, I got better score when just spraying with my rifles, most bullets landed where they were mean't to. Bursts just annoyed the enemy and got me six-feet-under.
*Spawn-camping. Got killed maybe 6 times in a row because I always spawned in same 1x1m area. Same enemy just fragged me. 7th time he was distracted by otehr enemy so I had my chance to put an end to him.
*I got stuck in so many places, mostly the train-tracks. Do they know term "playerclip" @ DICE? I suggest they read some tutorials about how it improves gameplay when unnecessary and small corners/edges are clipped for smooth movement/maneuvering.
*Grenade throwing. I first thought I placed an order and was waiting for nade to delivered in aimed spot in next round maybe.
*Server browser being ultimate poop. CSS/HL2DM/TF2/Source server browser is maybe the best one I have seen and used ever. I think it's not that difficult to replicate it.
*Seriously, I can only tweak my graphics n' stuff when alive in battlefield? Nice one, I didn't want to use my time efficiently when being dead and seeing that respawn time decreasing.
*So uhh.. ribbons and stuff being spammed on my screen when round is over. I had like 32sec share of those things spammed on my screen. What if I was actually good at game? I wouldn't be able to see the scorescreen at all because I get spammed by all these efficieny things.. Geez, wanna be different from CoD MW-stuff? Do things different.
*How do I quit game? When in scorescreen, I went thru common keys to bring down menu or anything. Nope.avi so I decided to alt-tab and quit from task-manager. That's so 2011..

We'll see how it's in release. It's just for some reason BC2/BF3 have this "frosty" movement and not as accurate as in CS(S), CoD, Quake, SoF2 and Contra, which I prefer alot more.

But actions > words. Quite sad that the beta build is in such bad shape, no way around that. Still though, it's true that a shitload of those bugs haven't been in the game for quite a while. But if you guys dislike design issues, well yeah... Can't really comment on those things.
Anyone up for a match? (Disclaimer: I suck though).
I would be if one could squad up properly ![]()
I agree 100% with SotaPoika, and also the squad system is shit.
Regardless of all these issues I think the game is fucking awesome. The ambience and feel to the game is just so spot on that sometimes when I lie down because of enemy fire I cant help but feel like im in a fucking war zone with all those sounds around me.
metro sucks so fucking much so pissed off right now.
DICE's choice in beta maps is odd. It was the same with BC2 and port valdez, what a fucking punishing grind of a level to introduce your game. They're good maps but using them as a first impression implies way too much faith in peoples patience. The metro park sections are pretty similar that way. The map is fucking great, but you only realize it after a few hours of cursing and bitching like a little bitch.

Well if you spawn in for the next round there is a quit option right past the options menu. ![]()
I had a lot of fun when it worked, but the beta had so many design issues that made me WTF that is my problem with it. Like I said, still a purchase, but not a preorder. It may take awhile...
I think using metro is genius. The biggest problem the Battefield-series has is that their levels are so large and hard to know where you are (especially with the new tech with stuff EVERYWHERE instead of just some landscape and a few landmarks) that new players spend HOURS just getting lost AND getting shot out of seemingly nowhere. Its only after a couple of hours of playing that you start learning the map and the paths/locations that the enemy players usually take. And with a bigger map this frustration and pain obviously only increases.
Taking into account this and the fact that what they really wanna do is lure in all those COD players with something they are used to (no vehicles), then its pretty much a smart move.
The only ones that are biting the dust are the battlefield veterans who are expecting tanks, planes and awesome stuff like that. But who cares about catering to them, they're going to play the shit out of this anyways.
So I installed Origin to my game drive, which is separate from my windows drive, and separate from my storage drive (drives are cheap and plentiful). I just noticed that Battlefield 3, installed from Origin (running out of my game drive), was unbidden installed to Program Files(x86), on my windows drive. Good job EA/DICE. That is totally an appropriate call (hurr).
Speaking of appropriate calls, apparently EA has threatened to ban the EA accounts (which means removing your access to EA games you've already bought) of anyone who joins a "modded" server that has enabled higher player counts.
Man, this entire beta business has just been handled WONDERFULLY by everyone involved. I hope you're all patting yourselves on the back 24/7.

You can change where to put the downloaded games in the settings, but you gotta do that before you start installing them. (So your best bet is to just delete the already installed version and then reinstall at the new location if you want to change.. Its better than steam in that regards imo).
Quote from Rick_DDICE do. That is why they are all playing Caspian Border.
I dont really know what you mean by this, but I cant play Caspian Border...

No one is playing Caspian Boarder for now, at least on public serv's, and that's lame as hell
