Quote from D3adsNice! Wish we knew more about what the campaign is about though
does it matter? if it's going to be like call of duty (which it is), then it shouldn't really matter what the campaign is about.
i sometimes wish they would just ditch campaign for "combat scenarios" or something so they would have a reason to go even more batshit with these missions. instead of attempting to tie everything together (and failing miserably), they could have standalone episodes with a new scenario each time without having to worry about "story" holding them back. then we also wouldn't have to endure the utter shit, cringe-inducing plot moments like the deer hunter-ripoff/"reference" in black cops.
i've found most of the cod campaigns entertaining, i'm just saying there's more potential here. we could have north-korea, china, russia and sweden all be antagonists for the price of one game. maybe an alternate universe scenario involving hitler and the third reich. modern nazis would be very cool.
then again, maybe the story-nonsense is part of the charm. maybe we enjoy seeing these writers struggle with the crumbs they are given.
