Picture with the ducks, IKEA barkarby?
-
Nope, all the shots are from Estonia and there are no IKEAs here.
-
Haha ok. Really really looks like outside an IKEA store near where I live

That's cool man

Seems like most of these photos could look much better with simple composition tweaks, specially respecting the golden ratio: http://digital-photography-school.com/divine-composi…ds-on-steroids/
(that site seems pretty cool, makes me wanna buy a camera as well

good site, I think about half of what I know actually comes from Digital Rev, awesome channel https://www.youtube.com/user/DigitalRevCom
most importantly, they make it fun

Forgot about that site, Minos! You're right about the composition tweaks, it's kinda difficult trying to figure out the functionality of the camera and keeping focused on getting a cool shot with nice composition. At least at the moment. Once I get more comfortable with the camera and photography in general, I think I'll be able to focus primarily on the fundamentals, I'm excited to see how snapping pidders will change my way of thinking about composition.

Awesome channel! Those dudes had me laughing hysterically and I'm still learning awesome shiz.
How often do you guys post process stuff in photoshop or lightroom? Obviously it's case by case, and certain aspects can only be achieved by some post work, but I'm curious as to how much thought some of you put into this. What about using lens filters? Is there specific reasons for going with a filter as opposed to tweaking the image for the same effect?

Lightroom is my first call, It just makes the entire process much faster, simply work your way down the right develop toolbar until your at the bottom
I've only used photoshop once in 2 years for a photo, because I wanted to remove something (a tree) but I try hard not to falsify an image if I can. For portraits, photoshop is priceless if skin tones and correction are your thing, although lightroom is quite ok doing that from what I hear but not to commercial levels. As a general rule of thumb, doing anything optically will be better than in post, don't be that guy who thinks he can "fix it in post" it's not even about the end result, it's about the thought process, and how much better you get when you combine knowledge of your gear with your imagination.
ND filters are pretty essential, for landscape, portraits and movie shooting, but this is more advanced photography. Defo worth learning about, you can get tons of nice cheaper options for getting into it. http://www.leefilters.com/index.php/came…ads#nd-videobox

Trying to see how well I can isolate a subject without it being extremely obvious and boring. There's a ton of photos at architecture of doom that do this brilliantly, be sweet to get to the point where I could compose such images. For now though, I'm having a blast with this stuff. Lots to learn, it's awesome.

Here some pictures I took this weekend at my family's summerplace in the arcipelago of Sweden's biggest lake Vänern, on an island called "Brommö". I know there are some artifacts in the panorama pics I took but they really managed to show the beauty of that place. Enjoy some sweet swedish nature!

(This last picture was taken at 01.00 in the middle of the night, it simply doesn't get very dark here dring the summer.)
