Gone back to Rome: Total War

Played shogun 2 for 40 minutes and got bored. Couldn't even set up max detail options because there's no dx11 ¬_¬ cant turn on shader model 5 or enable any anti-aliasing, so looks nothing like the screenshots. I am aware most shots these days are bullshots, but it really is no where near the level of quality that's been showed.

Made a Battlefield Heroes account to try and get veteran status in Bad Company 2 to get the M1 Garand. Ended up getting drawn into it a bit and played till I hit level 5. It's actually pretty fun in an odd way. You walk really slowly and people take FOREVER to die, but I found it strangely compelling.

The BF site isn't registering the existence of my BFHeroes account though. I want my garand

Somehow thinking that any game requires rocket science to install it scare the fuck out of me.

A man's reach should exceed his grasp, why do you think we love PC gaming? Inserting a disk and playing it out of the box is boring... Give me lengthy install processes, missing codecs, outdated gfx drivers and graphical tweaks to match your machine any day!

I can see two inevitable outcomes. I am going to fit right in around here and I am going to be doing a shitload of laundry.

Finished Mass Effect 2 Arrival. I've read reviews that it wasn't great, but I hadn't played ME2 in ages so it was fun just to go around blasting people and teleport punching. Though it is slightly worrying when the lead into a sequel - one with a lot to explain - doesn't make any sense.

I love the reapers! But I'm still going to create a rocket asteroid to foil their plans! And if I get caught perhaps Shepard will rescue me, and I’ll invite him on board, explain everything and keep him alive!

Thanks for doing my unsanctioned and unsupported mission, I agree with your actions 100%, which is why I want you - and not me - to be the scapegoat for all humankind. 300,000+ dead? Woo, that’s a lot! But I can’t be bothered to read your report and study the details for the upcoming peace negotiations.

I just played through this, and boy that was a disappointment. Nowhere near as good as Shadow Broker, nonsense happenings, and really in the long view this "lead in to ME3" does nothing but make the Reaper deadline a bit more specifically nailed down. Not to mention the actual art and levels feel mod quality at best. The new character, the main character of the mod, that scientist lady, looks terrible, especially her lip sync. If it weren't for the minute or so of CGI and Shepard's dialog, you wouldn't be able to convince me this wasn't a fan mission and there was some hidden Mass Effect 2 SDK out there that I was unlucky enough never to encounter.

Playing Assassin's creed II. I'm in Venise now.

    It's so fucking awesome !

Everything is excellent in this game !

And I like so much to find how they made it ! The lod system, the multi-textures in one, and so one.

The game looks so beautiful, and the textures are so small... A good example of optimisation !
