I downloaded War Thunder and I am REALLY enjoying it at the moment. I love WW2 and the fighter planes and bombers were awesome looking back then but I'm not a very good flier when it comes to planes. Helicopters I'm fine with, it's just planes that I suck at flying.

But the simple control system in War Thunder makes flying a joy and puts you on a near enough level playing field with the rest of the guys on arcade mode. For a F2P game it looks great too and the variety of planes available is pretty big!

Going to have to try some of the harder modes soon which have more complicated flight models.

halfway through vampire bloodlines and loving it

This made me happy, such a gooooooood game!

Also, if you get stuck in the sewers (you will know if you do), use "noclip" in the console to go through the walls. That part of the game is buggy as hell.

I'm playing through the La Mulana remake, which some people might recognise as the Japanese indie game that isn’t Cave Story. I could write some fawning paragraph comparing it to Demon's Souls, which invented difficulty and finding out things, but I’m not a games journalist. It's a lot of fun, though!

They released a video because people were giving up without even getting started, so I’ll link that for any interested party. You might want to mute it, though... I think the way she talks is attempting to rewire my brain.

I've also started playing la-mulana. I'm loving it. I'd say it's like a difficult metroidvania type game.

Playing dwarf fortress right now, and i was wondering if you could get sound into the game.

    And then i found this : http://df.zweistein.cz/soundsense/

I find the musics and sounds of the soundpack really great, that adds a whole new dimension to the game; thought i'd share

I just played Tomb Raider last week. Excellent game!

I'm a bit nostalgic from the first one since they are the games that launch me on the rails of game industry. And this one feels like an Uncharted 4, wich is good, but I initially wanted something else from a Tomb Raider game.

The game took me 20 hours to finish at 100%, is really well detailled and beautifull. Gunfight are imo better than uncharted with good weapons and upgrade but even if in hard, ennemies are very powerfull, it's not that hard. The first hours are really easy as you have better weapons than other survivors.

One thing that disapointed me, the game is reallyyyy violent

Now I'm playing Dead Space 3, I heard a lot of bad thing about it but I really don't know why. "they killed the dead space license"... A license of 3 games lol. I'm about 5 hours and what' I've seen so far is quite good. First step are strange for sure with some gunfight with humans, but it's short. I'm now in space with all the small ship and ot's more like DS1 to me right now.

Also I started in Hard and this is really hard !! died a lot of time and I can't save any medikit ^^

I like the craft thing for weapons too.

Word. The death scenes were brutal! I got a little shocked on the first ones, but then I got used to them.

The fewer shitty things the community adds, the better. But it's nigh-impossible to find a populated server without side chat these days.

Played Monaco in couch co-op with 2 friends yesterday. Really great and clowny stealth game, especially since it's so forgiving, and a really cool co-op game when you figure out the best classes to complement each other. Though you often split out and do you own thing in some far off corner, then there's also often moments of really neat coordination between class skills to bypass something

Brilliant drinking game too, in the sense that you often get separated and have to wait for another player to get towards the exit, so you can sit back for a moment and have a drink, though we probably went a bit overboard towards the end, which probably explains why we wiped so much towards the end of the evening

Anyway great game, MP is totally the way to go, though I doubt it's that much fun if you do it online.
