Surprisingly no topic for this yet, anyway Reach is due out today. Hopefully my copy will be waiting on the door mat when i get in.

If anyone is up for playing some co-op with me and Wilco will be on around 7:30-8:00pm GMT.

I don't get why people don't get it. A fun game is a fun game.

On that note, trying to do the initial campaign play through on Legendary was a bad idea.

Hehe yeah, I'm going through on Heroic the first time through. On the third mission, loving it so far.

Just played it for 6 hours more or less non-stop and I still wanna play some more . It's not that different from any of the other Halo games but it's just super tight. Absolutely love the level design, especially later on.

I've been going through the campaign Co-op with Wilco. I have to admit i'm really enjoying it. It is a Halo game and it doesn't try to be anything else or reinvent it's self. But, it has taken on board all that was good in previous games and learnt from everything that was bad. I've yet to wonder down the same corridor 50,000 times *cough*.

The AI always seems to surprise me in Halo, i have no idea why. Maybe because so many games these days are scripted heavily and tend to just run at you. A number of times last night we would loose track of an elite only for him to appear of to the side of us. And even on normal settings these buggers take some time to go down providing you with a non-static battle that has you moving around the map.

All in all i'm really enjoying it. I expect to finish the campaign tonight.

Yeah I saw you guys playing, on Normal, really should bump that up to Heroic, especially if you're cooping it

I love the Halo AI, just gives you so much replay value. Just based on core stuff like whether you flank left or right in a fight, or if you've got more people playing, then it'll completely change the way a fight plays out and where it happens in a lot of cases.

Gonna go through it on Legendary in co-op when I'm done on a Heroic, really looking forward to it.

Haha yeah, we were just going to casually go through it. Few beers etc. We'll be done by tonight so if you fancy doing 3-4 coop in the coming weeks give us a shout. Will defiantly be up for doing it on a harder setting.

Also really want to try the Horde multilayer levels.

I'm interested in seeing how the co-op campaign plays. According to what I've read, it's supposed to scale up the difficulty (not sure if that's through more enemies or tougher ones) to match the number of people you have playing at the same time. If it scales up the number of enemies, I can imagine some of the fights will just be redonkulously epic.

absolutely loved the epic last shots of the Pillar of Autumn and linking together Reach and Halo 1. Very satisfying ending for me.

Now it's time for co-op Legendary and MP

    Defiantly

    Quote

I like how it sort of finished but kept going. Loved (as you said) the ending where it shows the Pillar of Autumn arrive at Halo. I thought the next bit where you have to fight to survive was a little bit muted. I liked the idea but it didn't really feel like a "final last stand". The cinematic final few moments was great as was the voice over...but we never saw the planet get glassed...it just remained green and lush.

Aye, the survival bit at the end fell a bit flat to be honest. I like the idea, having an interactive bit there, but I felt that the execution was somewhat lacking. Also just looked kinda crappy with the brown/orange fog.

Isn't Halo: Reach just Halo + Tribes?
