I don't know, it is exactly what I expected it to be. Which is something I'm not interested in playing. It was funny when I was 11, but at 26.. no thanks. My sense of humor has changed a little bit in the past fifteen years.Shit, I was just starting 6th grade when duke 3d came out. Now, I'm a college grad engineer designing robots. Yeah, things have changed a little.

They do have the nostalgia angle working for them, and based on the previews, they're milking that for all it's worth.

If it doesn't get completely horrid reviews, and once it costs less than $20, I'll probably buy it for nostalgia's sake. I am not paying $60 for it. It's been 15 years since duke3d; I can wait another year for the price to drop to something reasonable.

Duke 3D is still one of the funniest games ever imo

Twiz seems to have blewn his balls of steel right out of his ass. shame to see people going down that road...

Duke? if you're there.. if you can hear me... I still <3 you...

So I figure it's not cool to be sarcastically positive about it anymore?

Anyway, it's exactly what I've expected, and yet I bet I'll still end up playing it.

I think it should be pretty entertaining overall. Even if it gets bad reviews, I'm still buying it. Gotta support the local studios!

It's probably going to suck a bit and be extremely underwhelming, but of course I'll buy it and play it because its DNF and it's something I've wanted to play since the day I started with level design

Looks like a B-rate game with some good ideas and a lot of heart and soul. I'll buy it, and couple of more copies for my friends when it gets cheaper.

I'm not sure what you guys expected, maybe it's the long development time, but with me it's quite the opposite: I'm positively surprised that it comes out at all! I think the trailer is hilarious and they are making the best out of a game, whose development can only be described as an epic trainwreck. It doesn't look like it will be the next big leap in fps gaming, more like Duke 3D on steroids. Balls to the walls action coupled with Duke humour. If it has multiplayer, I'm sold.

I never expected anything other than the equivalent of a bad 1980's B Action movie, and that's precisely what this trailer delivers. You can see all the edges in all models, the art direction looks nothing spectacular, but the only reason left for me to play DN at all is the one liners. As long as it has that, I'll play it happily....for 20 euros.

A few guys I used to work with at 3W work on the Multiplayer over in Vancouver.

I'll buy it, probably a bit out of curiosity and also cos it looks like it's something different, I'm guessing the wtf factor is big with this one.

Nonetheless, I don't expect it to be triple A quality either... Meh, we'll see I guess, it can't be THAT bad can it?

It looks pretty average but considering how long it's been in development for that's not really surprising.. they're obviously sticking to the roots of Duke's experience which isn't a bad thing. You're not surely all expecting originality in an FPS are you? Crazy cats
