- Mirror's edge (OMG it was good)
- Stalker Call of Pripyat (that was very hard to stop playing it)
- The last silent hill.
-
I'll list what I'm playing right meow.
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift: To be honest I’d rather be playing Guilty Gear, but that (except #R) has no netplay and even if I travel to the arcade these days everything but Tekken is dead. It’s hard to balance a game like this, where characters can actually do stuff, but some of the matchups are rather silly. But the main problem is the characters are all anime tropes, though I quite like Tsubaki and her story (spoiler tags for no real reason):
QuoteShe joins a military academy and is the quiet studious one, she becomes a kind of paladin and is forced to wield a sentient light sealing weapon because of the creed of her incestuous family, gets ordered to kill all her friends and her childhood crush, and just after she’s been told she was a pawn the weapon takes her eyesight and makes her blind
. lol.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game: Don't really care for Scott Pilgrim, but a retro brawler with Paul Robertson's art direction? Yes please. Dash punch for infinites and currency. Winners don't eat meat.

Mostly Starcraft 2 and a bit of wow each evening. Also been playing Rainbow 6 Vegas in coop with three friends, quite a good game that. Though the coop is very basic no mission narrative what so ever, you just hit a point where it says "mission complete".

Are there still WoW's in my Diablos?

Well, apparently all of your stats get distributed automatically now just like WoW. So you have no choice in how you develop your character other than skill points...
-
Thats a good change imo
-
It's true that most people are going to dump the same stats for each class and it can confuse newbies into either checking the internet or ruining their class. Though removing it outright is extreme, the dialog could've just offered good suggestions. And isn’t WoW dumbing down simplifying talent trees (aka skill points) for the expansion? Less talents to learn, only one tree at a time, etc.
No customisation, no experimentation, cookie cutter only.

It was originally designed for the PS2, and it shows in a lot of the areas. It gets a lot better towards the end. The second one on the other hand, is fucking gorgeous.
I didn't know it was supposed to be a PS2 game first, definately explains some things lol. It's definately got better, really got into it now, kinda shows what one of the combine cities would look like in England...
I've got Resistance 2 as well but I'll delaying that playthrough until I've beat Uncharted 2

Bought this myself after seeing the Giant Bomb quicklook. Actually my first purchase on PSN.

I dont agree that its extreme, and yes; WoW is simplifying everything.
But what I think you dont get is the fact that simplifying is good. 100's of options only confuses a player and makes him want to do something simple (aka play another game).

I think losing half the customisation from a level up is extreme, though it's a given that late game your underlying stats were a drop in the ocean.
"Simplifying is good" does not work as general statement, it all depends what you’re simplifying. Not everyone is the lowest common denominator. I just had a go on the new talent calculators for Cataclysm and each tree makes you learn everything but 2-3 talents before you hit the 31-spot and can branch out. Why even bother having a tree at this point?

Alien Swarm is pretty damn fun

Whatever happened to choice? Aren't we allowed that in a game anymore in case some people don't want to take the time to understand?

I've almost finished playing Singularity - the start of the game (docks) were nice, sad that next chapters are a bit boring interiors with few cool scenes...

I certainly think it’s a good thing that PC games no longer come with an inch-thick manual as required reading, nor ask you to play with the A5 cardboard "cheat sheet" that tells you what each key does (I believe this evolution is called "bloody consoles"). But when it comes to removing choice and depth, I think a lot of modern games severely underestimate the average gamer.
