Nice video, looks different enough from other MP games out now! The only thing that I'm noticing is the dynamic infestation which is not looking as impressive as the demo when it was still on source?

Or is it just like that in the video?

That charge by the Onos was totally unexpected at the end of the trailer

The infestation demo was on our current engine, spark. At the moment it is just placeholder and will get added in at the end.

Being slightly hyped by the trailer I gave the game a try (I preordered a while ago). Currently, there are two things that comes in the way of me enjoying this game:

    - The framerate and performance. I have a decent rig and run BF3 on high with 60fps pretty consistently. I drop down to 20-25 in NS2.

    - The "feel" of player movement and that of other characters. NS1 always had SUPER tight movement that felt responsive and enemies and allies alike felt very present in the environment. In NS2, it feels like they "float about" laggingly and there's not the same kind of connection to your surroundings as there was in NS1. Hard to explain, but it just feels like that.

I'll continue to support the product and love the overall work that has been done, but atm these two things are a bit of a dealbreaker for me and I'll instead wait for future updates

I also jumped on the hype wagon and picked it up. As someone new to NS it has a bit of a learning curve as to what one should be doing, which can result in a pretty slow game. The game would benefit from a little more on-screen help and information, especially in the form of separating tutorial text updates from current game updates

Even though it's early access, if you intend to attract and retain new players then a stronger emphasis should be placed on training them up and giving them as much info as possible.

It was great to come to the booth and talk to your team about the game. I was thoroughly impressed by the game and how well it seemed to play. People were just going on for hours, well beyond the initial points target. Good stuff.

By the way, for anybody struggling with getting a decent FPS in the game, you should try the latest build out on Steam. I jumped from ~20fps on average, up to like 50-60! Makes the game so much more fun to play.
