    That chair does look amazing.

For the record Aeron chairs and other ergonomic chairs are way overrated. They may look cool and improve your posture but they're far from my definition of comfortable.

True, but we got Aeron's at crytek, and sitting in one everyday, I can tell that their main focus are not to be comfortable. They're work chairs, not living room couches, they can't be neither too comfortable, nor to stiff. And they do a great job at that.

using poäng here as well. actually two different kinds of this one with just a blanket as seat and one with a bith thicker seating... this design is just too comfortable, makes you fall asleep in seconds.

i dont have the greatest reception in my apartment and when i hold it in my left hand to surf the web i lose bars guaranteed, they'll slowly go down to one bar, i've never lost service though. but if im outside in the middle of the city, the signal is strong enough that i don't lose any bars. however, i'm yet to get a case for the phone and youre dumb to own one and not have a case, which solves the issue anyway. come on otterbox, sell your damn cases

It's going to be very interesting. I bet it's basically just gonna be Steve stating that all phones have reception issues, and that iPhone 4 has much better reception than any other iPhone to date, but that there is an issue at the antenna base. I think the chance of them handing out free bumpers, or even doing a full on recall, is extremely slim. However it is kind of a PR nightmare for them right now, even if it is mainly a matter of poor US phone reception.

Anyway, very anxious to see what they're gonna say, it's like a surprise Steve Note!

Eh, the phone feels bulky enough in my pocket as it is without a case. Plus I think the iPhone is ergonomic and aesthetic perfection as it is — a case is only going to compromise that. I've never broken a gadget yet so I trust myself.

One thing I've noticed during the past couple of days is that this thing kicks ass as an iPod. I was still using my (latest-gen) iPod Nano for a while but this blows it out the water: higher maximum volume (good for my extreme headphones), more intuitive interface, more features. Excellent.

i dropped my 3gs a couple of times. i leave it in my lap when driving and when i get out of the car i've forgotten about it and it hit the pavement a few times, or when i have the wire in to charge i'll trip on it or close a drawer and take it down, or i'm drunk. i managed to shatter the glass on my last one and almost shed a tear. for a 500 dollar electronic that is 99% glass i still think you're a fool for not having a case, especially if it improves your reception. but this is coming from a guy with a cardboard box case

LOL, they did alter the software in the last update to make lower bars visually seem better when the signal is just as bad

oh and to stay on topic .... has anyone experienced any reception issues with the iphone 4?

Yes Klein. While my reception has generally been excellent with the iPhone 4 (it consistently gets better signals than the LG one I had before, especially when in my pocket), touching a certain area in the bottom left corner will reduce the signal to pretty much zero.

If you look at the circle drawn on the phone at about 9:20 in the video above that's pretty much the death zone. If you rest any finger within that area you're basically guaranteed to lose your entire signal and drop your call. I've experimented and even going a little outside that circle doesn't cause problems, nor does bridging the entire circle with two fingers (ie: putting one finger either side of the circle) — and it isn't the black seam that causes it because it still occurs even if you only touch the metal immediately next to it. Not sure what hardware madness is going on exactly but that circle is like an off switch for the signal.

I've learnt to avoid the circle relatively easily by simply tucking my little finger behind the phone while taking a call, but it's definitely an annoyance. The phone truly excels in literally every other way though so I can't say it'd make me return it (for any lesser phone I would).

that sucks thrik :/ btw what steve jobs said about other phones having the same problem is completely bs.... most phones don't have the antenna in the sidebar but at the bottom of the phone or elsewhere (in an area the consumer is not likely to touch while making a call)

It's not totally BS. I've tried the grip thing on other phones and it works. It drops down bars, just like iPhone. iPhone 4 just happens to have a smaller spot that causes the drop.
