    So. Yeah. Twitter. 'Murica.

I regret this decision. I don't know what the fuck twitter is for.

    Long live mapcore.

Ok, just went through and added a bunch of you to the mapcore twitter follow list. That should make it easier for us to get great design news right away!

Still on the look out for great designers to follow and grab news bits from. Let us know!

    I still don't get twitter...

I honestly like it a lot more than Facebook. It's like an intellectual alternative because instead of standing next to a thing you have to make some kind of meaningful comment about it. Or just tell the internet that you farted, that's valid too.

I'm following a lot of Level Designers and thank God there's no way to post long text. Some of the guys are really annoying with their "What should I play?" or "I have 5 bucks" tweets... Anyway, Twitter is cool, way better than FB and G+.

I'm not a user: i have my two accounts i originally got just to preserve the account names and very occasionally post something. But those time i log in just for curiosity, what I see is mess, I don't see how can anybody say it's better than fb... on a technical standpoint, fb has tools to cut some clutter: on Twitter i'm "victim" of those friends that retweet every day stupid news about football i don't give a flying turd about. In two these brothers manage to confuse me more than the post from the 200 contacts i have on fb.Seems to me i can just unfollow, which for social reasons seems rude. Doesn't seem a fully fledged tool of communication, like fb aims to be; seems very mono-directional to me.

Anyways, Twitter seems very cool if you care about complaining about corporations and their services: i've heard numerous people complaining on twitter about their flights or food or whatever and getting discounts for keeping them happy.

Well, you're right Still, I build a list of people that don't spam and yes, I was rude and unfollowed a lot It's their choice to post about bullshit. I have no idea who would like to read that...

I also end up using twitter a lot more than fb nowadays. But I only use it with tweetdeck (where you can make friends/subjects lists, ignore retweets, etc...), else it's indeed a complete mess

And when on the move dkm?

@Seir: i understand what you mean, as an absurd seems that Twitter is better as a professional tool, than social, i mean you restrict your list and everyone has to keep it brief.

Then if you want to use it socially as a main way of communication, can't see other solutions than multiple accounts.

    Hah, I don't even have a smartphone

I haven't looked into it but I guess there are equivalents on mobile too?

I used to keep up on those things then since my non-interest on Twitter, i dunno what's the situation. I bought an iPhone, my first smartphone, just on the 31th and i used it only for two days, then I've stupidely reset it and i'm now waiting for the new SIM to be able to activate it -_-

I remember vaguely that Twitter pushed its own app i think restricting a bit the access to their APIs, but not really sure. I know there are a lot of clients, i dunno if there are TweetDeck alternatives (but it's weird in the first place that software hasn't a mobile version, since it's one of the earliest third party clients).

I've been using FB a lot more again recently. Ther's a large number of art and job related groups with cool stuff to look at, daily tutorials, references, artists to follow etc. It's actualy quite a nice site when your newsfeed gets spammed with this sort of thing instead of pictures of ppl's kids and "funny" motivationals.
