Lol Michael "Steam will let you trade in your games" Pachter. Kotick has directly said in the past that he'd love to be able to get a Call of Duty subscription plan working, but that's just a dude who makes a shitload of money wanting to make more shitloads of money. He's also said he begrudges the console sales caused by Guitar Hero and wishes it were a standalone platform. Maybe there will be a "Call of Duty Heroes" type online PC game attempted at some point, but don't expect a patch for CODBLOPS adding a $15/mo charge to it.

Hey, at least you can actually connect and have a good ping. Besides there are so many other regular servers those aren't even a problem.

It still amazes me how immature the majority of CoD players are. I was playing Cod4 yesterday and 90% of the chat that are saw featured 'noob' or 'fag' or INTERNET-TOUGH-GUY-WORD. I guess that playing TF2 which, arguably, seems to have a more mature audience, has made me forget how many outspoken idiots play multiplayer games. I know I should just ignore it but, honestly, no wonder why gamers get such a bad rap when the most outspoken just spout abuse all the time.

I don't understand why the RC car is so popular. It gets you one chance at a kill, compared to the spy plane, which gets you and your entire team a bunch of chances at kills.

Personally though right now my loadout is SAM, sentry gun, care package, because I'm trying to unlock Hardline Pro's "shared packages" challenge

Prestiged. Enjoyed it more than MW2, generally, but I doubt I'll end up sinking as much time into it. Maps are solid but I don't find I'm waiting for any one in particular to appear in the rotation. None of them really stand out...Launch is probably the only I'd say pops at all for me.

Same here, I'm enjoying it alot as well. I spend hours just making my own logos for guns, heh.

Its super nice to have dedicated servers back. I 've been on this hardcore/crouch only server. Its like playing rainbow six, slower paced and tactical. I'm addicted to the server at the moment.

The comments in that IG post are just the best! It's like the XBL CoD community arrived in force and typed responses that are slightly more coherent then the way its members speak on chat! (Except for Mapcorians on XBL, of course.)

If Activision is going to pull that off, there would have to be a major structural change in how CoD is delivered to the consumer. Charging consumers more money for the same thing is very tough. You have to have content worthy of it or otherwise offering them more value though other innovation. Maybe the big A can pull it off. One [thing] of [thing] named game to rule them all.

While not a 1 to 1 analogy, WoW was a completely transformed way of delivering new Warcraft content to gamers. In WoW's case, the MMO model was already well established so Blizzard just took that path but with content many gamers really, really liked. For CoD to make a similar transition, I suppose it could follow the Nexon F2P model with Combat Arms, but last I heard Combat Arms, even though a quality game, doesn't generate a billion dollars or more a year in revenue. With Warcraft III, transitioning the elements of its RTS gameplay to MMORPG gameplay obviously worked. Would something like that work for the twitch / action gameplay of CoD? MMOFPSs have not worked, so I'm assuming that's not in the cards for CoD should Activision pull this off.

Link isn't working, but I assume that's the new DLC pack. The golf course level looks cool, but I'm pretty much off the Black Ops wagon now, played the first pack a lot tho.

Did you work on this Vivi? Kinda confused as to what Raven's role is in the CODs right now.
