I wondered how long before it would become this mainstream. Erk.

I'm pretty curious as to what they have in mind with the underwater stuff, doesn't exactly sound like something that'd blend well with GOW's rather static cover based gameplay. Also interesting that they're placing this in April next year, makes you wonder what they've got planned for the holidays of 2011

Anyway, I like the Gears games, bring it!

Gears Of War was pretty good, I liked the bit where you're shooting the aliens and taking cover

personaly i think these games are absolutly retarded and i looked at the trailer and thought ... jup pretentiousness and retardom still firing on all cylinders !

but still production value and polish lets you get away with alot !

so ill probably buy and play it anyway ...

Never much cared for GoW. Guess I may pick up all 3 at some point if I can get the whole package cheap.

Me either, the entire plot and balls out commercial/cheesy movie feel completely put my off visually the setting never interested me that much, polished to hell but just bland and boring ... bet If I played one of them though It'd be quite entertaining just don't really feel like trying it :/

Yeah I surprises me just how much hate there is for the Gears games here, wouldn't have thought that. I mean they're hardly great art, but they're excellent for what they are; big dumb action games with lots of violence.

    Anyway, each to their own.

I had good fun with GoW 1 and 2 tbh.

The levels are very well polished, I may not agree with many art direction decisions but they made some good shit as well.

Gameplay wise, well... Everyone knows it's a mindless shoot-fest, but hey, we need this kind of games to ease the stress sometimes!

PS. Look at all that juice!

GoW was good fun, I enjoyed it. Couldn't bother playing the sequel though, it looked too much like "more of the same". I'm afraid this one is going to be no different.

The Gears 2 campaign was leaps and bounds better than the first one. It was longer, had a lot more variety, and much better spectacles than the first game. Act 3 was dumb and too much of a deviation from the formula, just like in Act 3 of the first campaign, but overall it was a much better experience. My main complaint with the second game's campaign was the lack of a final boss fight like you had with RAAM at the end of the first Gears.

RAAM was hardly a boss... I'd rather have no boss to have a "boss" like that, jebus! :X

I killed the guy faster than I killed a ordinary locust enemy. (My friend that was with me, told me that I just lucked out trowing a grenade exactly where I should. lol, whatever)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you got lucky there. That was one incredibly complex boss encounter.

Hah, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't say that if you tried beating him on Insane alone

Was a pathetic joke my first time through, Hardcore in co-op, got it in our first try.

But I definitely agree with Serenius, Gears 2 was just a better game in every aspect, much better paced game than the first one. Even if the first half hour or so was kind of weak for me, then the rest the game more than made up for that.
