    Looks pretty cool dude.

It kinda reminds me of Prague a bit with the run down playground and the blockhouses around etc.. I'd give it a bit more of a fucked up and rotten look though by adding some more random junk and broken stuff to the map. I'd also try and not make roads and pathes that are just blocks with textures on them... try adding some sort of transition between one surface and an other... for the roads for example add some curbs to the sides which can maybe be crumpled and cracked, put some holes in the road etc.. Oh yeah, also change the sky. The sunset one doesnt really help the atmosphere with the setting of your map.

    Nice work, keep going !!!

And ferret, I don't know what world you live in, but static props are pretty common these days.

are all those buildings models or proper brushwork ?

looks fairly like a hospital i have to say.

anything else besides the two buildings ?

Okay there are only 2 things i dont like about this map.

    1. The terrain is unrealistic, the grass is way to flat make it looka hell of alot nice. And that little brick cobble path throught the grass is a displacment you should paint the alpha and actually make it look like their blended together, giving the effect that the grass is starting to take over the path, which gives more of a "old path" feeling.

    2. Is the lighting, i think its way to bland, have more spot lights, more spot lights comming for the street lights and maybe some lights glowing around the tress to give it that dark park feel. And have more lighting color, maybe some where on the building have red lights glowing of some sort, just give it mroe variance than the bland ligthing you have now.

Other than that its looking pretty decent.

It looks very cool dude, but it's too open for a DM map, which isn't good for the gameplay.

    Maybe a de_ map ; )

I was commenting on how his picture is simply a screenshot of model props. Why not show us something that is truly interesting. That was my point. He has nothing to show but a large brush building.

    Hey Nexus,

You're an Half-Life Fallout'er eh? I can see it by your avatar.

The map is looking decent, mainly by its size and overwhelming feeling. I would suggest playing around a bit with the environment lights and skybox, getting those right will be a good step in the right direction.

Also, strip about 50% of those props. It looks too full as it is now.

    Good luck.

Looks better now, but still there is something wrong with the whole feeling..

1: I cant seem to remember any place where i'v seen trashed cars parked on a parket lot

2: Its realy a overkill of props. It looks messy. A more clean style, adding props where it looks natural would look much better i think.

3: The lighting is booring and dosent match the skubox very well. Try going for a more organge or dark blue sunset.
