my 2009 games ... and yours ?

    Haha reading it now that looked like it was meant as an insult, was meant as a self deprecating comment. I don't mean to imply that you don't have a life Tayl0r .

    But I do have a hard time seeing myself playing this game if I didn't dedicate as much time for gaming as I do. It's rare these days that I sit through over 5 hours of a game that I really dislike in order to prove something to myself and others.

    Anyway, slight derail, it's a good game but probably not for everyone

    I've made 2 attempts at Demons Souls so far. I don't even know if I've given up on the second try, I just don't know...

    The atmosphere alone is enough to make you want to kill yourself.

    My top 5 are based on what I had time and interest to play, though some of these aren't the best quality

    1. Uncharted 2

    2. Ghostbusters: The Game

    3. Borderlands

    4. Tiger Woods 10 (on Wii with new WiiMotionPlus, for the Nintendo Wii! :roll: )

    5. Conquest (iPhone) it's a Risk knockoff

    biggest disappointment: Brutal Legend...wait...scratch that.

    The biggest disappointment/missed opportunity has to be the Avatar game which I am predicting sold shit in December. I mean, this is the first movie that I said upon walking out of it "I want to play that in a game." And then the game sucked. But didn't we all know that when at E3 they showed nothing to the public and instead had James Cameron up there rambling on for 30 minutes? No offense to Ubisoft, I still love thee but next time a billion dollar action/sci-fi movie comes your way, make a better game.

    Most fun with a game this year: Making AC2

    Best atmosphere in a game I played: Batman Arkham Asylum

    Best game I have not played: Uncharted 2

    Games I wish I would play if I had the hardware: Infamous, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2

    Best PC game: Plants Vs Zombies

    Best Shooter: Left 4 Dead 2

    Best new surprise that's not Plants vs Zombies: Trine

    Best iPhone game: Bubble Bash (this thing is the one game I've played the most this year, and I can't understand why yet)

    Biggest disappointment: Brutal Legend

    Most Unexpected Enjoyable Experience Game of 2009:

    Most Expected Enjoyable Experience Game of 2009:

    I Really Thought I Would Be Playing This Game More Than I Actually Am Game of 2009:

    No love for Trials HD on mapcore? I've not done as much gaming as I'd have liked this year but this game, like it's predecessor Trials 2, ate up a whole lot of hours. If anybody here plays it and wants somebody to compete against on the leaderboards then add me on Xbox Live - ReNo84.

    I'll also give a nod to...

    - DJ Hero for making me give a shit about rythm action games, which I normally don't get much fun out of. Haven't played it all that much yet but I've really enjoyed the times I have.

    - Storage Inc for giving me some faith in Xbox Indies, as well as showing me that the forklift truck driving genre didn't die with Shenmue.

    There's plenty of others I'm sure, and I've enjoyed plenty of the big games too (MW2, ODST, AC2, etc...), but in a way they are kind of a given.
