Miniscule update. At this stage I am putting together all the things, while making new objects as I go along. So here is 4 different colour variations on the same water lily template. Excuse the water.

Next up. A fallen log in the forest:

Before you say it, I think the bump map settings are a bit high, causing the white glares...

Okay, another update. This is a hut, which stands on a stalk or a pillar in a river. It is not so much as hut as it is an organic growing thing. But it still serves as accommodation. This is still WIP, but I am sure you get the point. There are some anomalies with the uvw mapping and the alpha channels that I need to sort out, so please don't comment on that. Other than that, C&C is very welcome!

A land based hut. Very simple shape. Yes the modelling is quick, but this type of hut is meant to be duplicated, so too many unique features will not do.

    C&C, pleae.

nice stuff, i dig it. but the last one is particularly...... phallic... don'tcha think?

*edi: i particularly like the mushroom-lily-river-hut thing (second up). the only thing about it is that its function as a living space is really not obvious--i think if you added some sort of windows to the sides of it the premise would be much more apparent. i'm guessing you don't want to open up the whole thing for poly concerns but you'd do well to add some sort of organic frames and sills and 'shutters', more clearly than the sort of rectum things that are on the back of it now.

i don't know if you were planning to but if you're making lots of these in an area then definitely make several variations of each of these dwellings, pushing around around the vertices and making differences in scale (don't even bother rearranging the UVs if you don't have to).

Here is a... wooden bucket! And a variation.

C&C will be appreciated, as always.

Thanks... If you knew how quickly and simply these were made you wouldn't be so impressed. But at least, everything is handpainted.

The SECOND best bucket in a game...ever.

Yeah this looks really nice, also nice use of the sting texture which also appears in other props (such as the stairs) which will help keep the style consistant.

How is the merging of the whole level going?
