Nice brushwork and atmosphere. Maybe a mite less blue?

My models won't show up in hammer when I try to find a world model... but they show up in the HL2 model viewer... what's the deal? The on;y models that appear in hammer are seemingly random window/window bar models.

I can't seem to fix the problem either - I think this update really screwed me over.

Cool one VoodooBenshee! I like it a lot, especially the two first ones. The third one looks kinda strange with that orange...pipes?

the orange pipes are the blue pipes too, the color changes between blue and a short time to orange. its a scrolling fluid in a ... i would say transparent or glassy pipe - looks really cool ingame because i put some lightshaders too which change the colors around the pipes. the effect are also at the walls, floors aso.

    Very nice.

Only thing I don't like about it are the trees, they don't have too many leaves but I suppose that this map makes takes place in autumn maybe?

looks really sweet IR but imo it lacks a bit of contrast in lighting. maybe you should make the sunlight/shadow just a tad more obvious. could help making it look a bit more 3d

Here are some screen shots of some very early work on the mapping of Casa Grande, the main house on the Hearst estate in San Simeon, CA. Please keep in mind that most likely none of the textures you see in these pics will be used in the final version.

The last image is the inside of a spiral stair tower that has exits on all four levels. There are currently two spiral stair towers, one on each side. I may add two more smaller towers towards the back of the house.

I plan on making the map a single player HL or maybe a CS level with large portions blocked off. All comments are welcome. It is very likely I will need help on this one to finish in any sort of timely fashion. If anyone has an interest in helping me construct and detail this monster, please let me know! Challenges are fun right?

Why singleplayer? Wouldn't it make a better mp map?

IR - so, so looking forward to this map. Recently started playing DOD for the first time ever, and while I think it is an absolutely amazing game, there is a definite shortage of maps. The community really seem to be appreciative of custom maps as well.

woooowww I remember that map! I hardly play UT but I did when someone bootlegged it and put it on the VisualBasic computers at school one year. That was the map we played most.
