Tomato, center that couch more with the window so it dosn't look so cluttered with the other models. The roof of the house really kills the scene. You know in DODS, how they make their roofs using displacements. You should do the same for your roof, or add some brushwork to the rims of the roof and pull it down to make it look old and worn or something. oh and a couple of chimneys would help bring it to life.

Thanks! I was planning on making the roof out of displacements, I'll be doing that next time I start up hammer. There is a chimney behind the window but I'll add another one on the other roof.

It looks good.a little 3 minute paintover, if you get the general ideas

Also, if I were you I would play with 1) color correction 2) building textures or 3) lighting to try to match the map to a one or two color in order to kind of create a vibe and a mood for the map overall. You could leave everything just standard daytime, but I think saturating the lighting would give the map alot more personality and help it "glow".

Hey I just noticed this post. Thanks for the tips, I will get on it most definitely.

I planned on everything you drew to be in the final version, except for the tree. This was just a minor update. The reason I didnt plan on having trees was because this whole road is a bridge, do you think trees could grow there? Meh, I might add them either way

Think im gonna put the night setting on hold for now, been working on the lighting for the Sunset setting and am very happy with the way it looks now so am probably going to go with this until everything is polished.

Added some extra models and detail today including floating pollen which catches the sunlight and looks so cool! Played with making the grass sway but its a bit unreal with the current engine, however it helps 'animate the environment a bit which helps i think¬

    nerf repetetive water

i like it though i'd change that stone ledge to another texture and also make the steps a bit less squary (or at least thinner)
