    I used one from CS:GO, but if you need to create a skybox texture i would recommend Terragen. I havn't used it in forever though.

    LATTEH, I had the same experience. I applied, had the interview, did the two week test, but alas I did not get the job neither. Your map is a lot more polished than mine I think.

    cs_estate? Where did you find that lamp model in the left of the second screen? ^^ Did you make it? (If not, what's the name of the model?)

    I really like this kind of contrasted lighting, even if it's not really recommanded on cs

    The models name is hotel_sconce001 and yes this will be cs_estate.

    Out of nowhere I got the urge to make an Age of Empires 2: HD map.

    It's going to be a tight 2v2 map also supporting 1v1. Island Conquest focused but also have Relics placed in the map. Currently the resources are limited to islands so in order to get more resources you have to expand your territory, which is pretty much how every AoE2 map works but I'm trying to create more choke points. To me, a problem with the AoE2 maps is that it's so hard to get map awareness due and get a clear frontline, I thought having these kind of "corridors" between the islands will facilitate more visible frontlines.

    Don't mind all square shapes, will get that sorted later.

    Also, fuck this editor. No undo-function at all, not even one step. Means you gotta save all the friggin' time, got 19 saves already.

    Second pass tonight, only had 1,5 hour today though.


    After a long discussion with my friend who played a lot of AoE II about the map I realised I needed to add some protection for the starting locations so I added small islands with shallow water and then added reefs around all the enterpoints to the shallows. The reason I didn't want to just expand the island is that I still want this to be a map consisting of multiple islands rather than a few bigger/continental islands. I'm doing it this way cause I want the players to be force to push their frontline in order to expand and get new resources rather than just expanding their main base step by step - in short; it's all about aggressive territorial play.

    I have still not yet added stone mines to the starting islands but I have decided to add a total of 6-7 stone stacks in one big pile which will encouragethe players (in a 2v2 scenario) to make strategic decisions on how to divide it.

    I've been working on a map for a few days now, finally got the whole layout complete. I suppose the layout works fine, now I just need to build the architecture around it, as well as getting cover in B.

    Hello guys. I want to post some screenshots of my CSGO bomb defiusion map. Map will be tested on 7th of April on mapcore server. It's just raw layout with a little bit of theme. I want to embed in a climate of post communist military base that is intended to demolition.

    Map was never tested so I'm very excited to play it with you guys.I am very happy with the current state of the map. This is the first time I try to make complete layout to test with other players. If anyone have some suggestions, feel free to post them.

    Yeah, otherwise than those stairs it looks pretty good Also make sure to increase the lighmap scale in A up more.
