Yeah, that's not bad at all (I'm sorry, I don't know your other maps).

    Well, some suggestions though :

    • [*:d7qibph0]The brightness of the lamps in the first and second screen is way too bright in my opinion. I think you should lower it.
[*:d7qibph0]Always in the first screen, the "planks" (?) in front of the doorway, closing it, are kinda weird.
[*:d7qibph0]The texture alignment of the vents is stretched. I think lowering scale by 2 should help.
      [*:d7qibph0]Maybe too empty I think.
[*:d7qibph0]The brush under the windows in picture 2 is a bit out of place, removing it will be better I think.

Some screenies of my UT3 started project :

Click to enlarge the pictures. The glowing tower is a part of the skybox, and I haven't closed here, so don't care about it. (my first room finished in Unreal Ed 4 woohoo!! )

    Thanks for the comments!

Actually I designed a basic layout on paper, but it's in rebuilding, because when I designed the map in editor, I noticed that it was in the other side of the layout drawn on paper, so when I look the paper, I'm a bit lost.

I'll probably scan it if you want, I don't really have skills for explanation though, my layouts are a bit twisted, even if I draw them on a drawing soft.

I have finally released some screenshots of my Insurgency map, ins_abdallah. I have been working on this one roughly for 8 months or so (this is however the 3rd version of this map). Most of the content you see in these screenshots are made by myself, except of course for the vehicles and foliage models (which would require too much time and wouldn't be worthy the effort), detail sprites (that were made by steppenwolf I believe) and some minor textures (like trims, some signs etc) that will be replaced soon. I want to make this map as much self made as I can so I have a well polished and strong portfolio. Anyways enough talking, enjoy the screens!

So much good shit going on in this thread.

Pogo: That's looking awesome, I know you mentioned it but wassup with the watermark right in the middle though??? That can't be good for publicity, ruins your work. Watermarks shit me. Why not something more subtle in the corner?

Shacky: Looks great, nice lighting and interesting stuff to look at everywhere.

Nexus: The bloodstains look rad and your choice of textures work well together. I think the brushwork could be more interesting though. The border around the roof could be smaller and more subtle. The floor could do with some variation too. What sort of environment are you trying to create?

Minotauro: Fucken awesome, love the colours and the lighting

It has a really strong atmosphere, plus this dusty fog thing is really awesome.

Thanks man. The watermark wasn't put on by me, it was added when I submitted the images for my dev blog. For some reason, they appeared in the middle instead of in the bottom right

The uh... floor texture in the third shot looks kind of repeating and/or checkerboard like.

First shot screams Metroid Prime to me, and it's awesome.

Yeah, I thought it was Unreal too, especially with this fog.

Speaking of Unreal, one more Editor picture, going slow but sure.
