    Well thanks.

My friends all say it runs fine, but a select few say it runs like horse shit. Is there anyway we could get a Mapcore game going to test it out? I only really need 3 other people or so because it is a tiny map.

A mobile subway train, trying to make a video of this thing in action (see off-topic).

100% custom content; Soldiers by Romka, trash models by Marc Schroeder, train railings by Ritual Entertainment, all skins remade by myself. All textures by me, with the exception of the posters coming from Blood 2 (placeholders.. hence WIP).

It looks cool - reminds me of the Fastrack CZ level (which I take the railings are from). I think the litter looks a bit out of place, though.

That looks wonderful D3, I love the "fake" specularity. Not sure if it's intentional or not but it looks nice Keep it up buddy.

Kind of, the railings are from the standard CZ campaign, the one in CZ:DS has more polies because it's got an extra part to it and it explodes. I thought that the train would look too clean without the litter, perhaps just a little less of it will work rather than cut it out completely?

I've got a rather cool shiney metal texure from Devastation that I overlayed over parts of the train and the floor, I was trying to make everything seem shiney so if you think that it works then I'm very glad

Is it because of the black part at the sides? I was thinking that too, not easy to paint a shiney pole from a photo :/

The black contrasts with the white. Try changing the black to something more silvery.

I like the bars, similar to the HL2 train ones, just without env mapping.

I think if you put the litter on the floor texture it might blend in a little better and at least give you total coverage - there's this one little part that has some litter -and the rest is clean, make it more evenly dirty perhaps?

I'll fiddle about with things, see what I can improve.

This is what the train looks like outside btw:

Sorry, I should have been more descriptive. I mean the outlines around it are very noticable and it sticks out. Probably an engine limitation though, maybe you could put them on the floor texture or something so they blend a bit better?

You mean on the train outside? It's just a texture overlayed with the windows on a black background and set to additive, makes them glow.

They're not *that* bad are they? They have to fit the railings model, if I make them any smaller the model would float! Took me bloody ages to scale this all right. Maybe someone would like to edit the model to combat that?

Yeah that's good old HL's aliasing unfortunately, when rendering a { (transparent) texture. I could use a decal but it'd have to be a lot smaller than the one I'm using, since you can't scale decals down in HL. The screenshot itself actually has 8x anti-aliasing enabled.

As you may have guessed, there's a subway in the works to go with the train, those of you who've read my portfolio will know I <3 subways
