Played this at E3 this year and it was pretty good (played on 360). It's very simy (if that's a word). Looked great and the controls weren't that bad (I am a huge controls freak. Bad ones ruin a game for me ). It was a nice change of pace to the chaos of our game.

I liked how you can run a long way around a way point and flank the battle and it still handles the situation well. We talked with the Devs and they seemed like really good guys.

Anyways, I will probably pick it up when it comes out.

Yep, I guess. but it's very subtle. Not overdone like K2.

Also lol at the idiots on Youtube comparing this and Arma 2 to COD4

I actually think it looks like a good blend between the two games. The fun gunplay, movment and gameplay mechanics of CoD4 with the large scale world of ArmA.

I have bought every piece of OFP and Arma software that has been released and frankly I am tired of it. I had a lot of fun with ArmA, albeit very specific type of fun; and ArmA 2 wasn't really doing it for me, it made me realise that Bohemia aren't really interested in upping their game and dealing with gameplay problems that have existed for 10+ years.

Not every game has to re-invent the wheel but I would like to see sequels at least dealing with the problems of the previous titles.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising has achieved the singular feat of being a military simulator that's actually fun to play on more than just a "Look how much stuff is here!" way. Codemasters have remembered that the most important thing for a game to be is fun. At the end of the day, if your CO disintegrates for no reason and you can't proceed with the mission, it doesn't matter how accurate the spark plugs are on the vehicle you're driving, you'll get fed up and sack it off.

The targeting and taking down of enemies dialogue is completely annoying from that video. I hope there's more edge to the dialogue in this game

    This is very dissapointing!

    # 1 doesnt seem so bad, 16 player each team max is slightly dissapointing but no doubt still fun.

"Also, in regards to multiplayer there are some MAJOR shortcomings:

    1. Limited to 3 modes - Co-op (up to 4), Annihilation (deathmatch limited to 16v16), and Infiltration (16v16, one team holds a defensive position, and the other must take over)

    2. No dedicated server and/or server browser; purely peer-to-peer ala Xbox Live.

    3. No support for joining multiplayer game in progress.

You combine all of this together with a rather short 11-mission single-player campaign and it's really disappointing. -_-"

I think I am still going to purchase it though. I mean the game is getting really good reviews, better then arma 2 anyway. 40 bucks will be worth the co-op story at least I think. I need an fps wargame to play!
