Batman: Arkham Asylum

Tried the PC demo on steam and gave up because the camera keeps spinning. I think it's because I have a joystick plugged in, but seriously, wtf? Since when is it acceptable for a game to assume you're using a joystick with no option to choose your controller ingame? Really stupid oversight on the part of the developers; I imagine it's a holdover from the console version that's not been suitably tailored for the PC version. I get really annoyed by niggles like this -- I'm not going to buy a game that forces me to go down the back of my PC and start pulling out cables every time I want a go.

Unplugged my joystick and it's pretty kickass. Nice to see a game with some real weight to the animations and combat; I particularly enjoyed gliding around and kicking people in the face

I've heard so much acclaim for this game I don't think I can avoid buying it. Best not disappoint.

I agree. But I'm not going to buy it... Not right away at least.

I donno, looks like a really solid game (and an Eidos game even!), but I'm just not that interested in it. Demo was nice but I kinda got enough from that already, and to be honest I'm kinda burned out on Batman. Might buy it sometime later tho.

Pretty much this. Demo was good but I'm just not pumped for it. Definitely grab it down the line.

it changes alright ... but the prince really tears the cloth apart step by step all by himself if i remember correctly

No multiplayer or anything? Guess I'll wait until it's cheaper..

Walmart, best buy and some other places had it for 40 bucks the first couple days. I got my copy from a friend at work who went in a walmart this morning and bought 6 copies. I got the last one.

Yikes! By the sound of this I wouldn't be surprised if it even outsells Wii Sports Resort this month

Use the X360 controller emulator or something, might fix that for you. (google it)

Just grabbed the demo from Steam and played it, I think the hype is justified. Looks like this game just put a new top European studio on the map, they know what they are doing! Only question left to me now is whether I should pick it up first thing tomorrow morning or wait another week for the PC version to hit...
