you could always just watch 2001so if todays movies are too fast for you but i certainly enjoy that "michael bay"esque cutting. it really helps transporting dynamics and speed.

OMG the cutting every .5 seconds issue...that was my (only) problem with the otherwise excellent Bourne movies. And I felt it really damaged District 9. Not that I was going to see Gamer but FFS wtf is with this type of cinematography+editing these days that ruins movies.

I would prefer watching the newest Uwe Boll movie than that Hollywood shit!

I agree, children of men is a great film based on the long cuts and cinematography alone.

Saw it last night. My friends and I were somewhat drunk and were looking for a movie that we could "Mystery Science Theater 3000" our way through, and that's exactly what we got. The movie is _horrible_. We had a great time making fun of it all the way through, though

I am, however, glad that I saw this movie because now I can answer "Yes" to the question "Have you ever seen Ludacris play Air-Hockey?".

(The movie did have two things in it that I thought was highly appropriate and highly awesome: 1.) At the very beginning during the first battle, about two seconds after I leaned to my buddy and remarked "This is a highly inaccurate representation of online game play. I don't see any teabagging", a clip shows one of the slayers teabagging a dead body with an off-screen voice yelling "Quit fucking teabagging!". [although this was probably more of a "you had to be there" moment, because of the timing] 2.) Near the end,

    Quote

Kable confronts Castle, and a fight ensues between Kable and Castle's mind-controlled goons singing and dancing to the tune of "I’ve Got You Under My Skin" from Sammy Davis, Jr. I found that to be hilarious, awesome, and quite appropriate.

since allot of the negative remarks about this movie obviously come from people that don't understand the first person shooter gaming , id be tempted to say shut up the lot of you..but i wont lol great movie first person shooter pleaser for sure. could have been a little bit better in parts. but apart from that 4/5 great watch.

I watched it. I found the CGI to be unfavorable, it to be less about the gamer, a bad representation of gamers, etc. I also noticed a large amount of breasts. I'm sure that's the way the world would turn if the controller/controlled thing happened but it seemed more like they were trying to entice people to stay with 'em.

Movie is decent. Loved the castle dancing and the society with the bloodhound gang music scenes. It has some great camera work and works as a satire.

Is anyone else ever fascinated by people who enjoy bad movies? I'm not even talking like grindhouse or film noir, so bad it's good stuff but genuinely horrible film. I used to get annoyed or think I was better than people who like shitty movies but these days I almost want to understand whats going on in the brain of a person who can not only sit through a movie like gamer but give it a 4/5. I get the feeling that Mariatamis is young so that might be a big part of it but hot damn.

I have found that expectations can bring a whole movie experience to a whole new level. If you go into a cinema and except the absolute worst you'll almost always enjoy the movie. If you've believed all the hype and go into the cinema you'll (in 95% of the cases) go out with a "meh, wasnt so good"-movie feeling.

just like any genre there's plenty of horrible film noir.
