Uncharted 2 - Among Thieves

    I've been avoiding all their recent media releases. I know it's going to be awesome based on a couple of trailers and the previous game, want to avoid spoiling it

    ah ah ah, omg this was the best gameplay vid so far! The whole thing feels like an action movie, and the audio / voice work is just hilarious!

    Looks fucking great! Not watching a lot of videos from this as Uncharted 2, ODST and MW2 are three games I just want to go into without knowing much about the singleplayer.

    Their E3 demo had me a lot more convinced. This looked nothing special even if well put together, and there was nothing there that justified having a bluray disc either (unlike Killzone 2 or MGS). Of course they've only had two years to make it but the overall look and feel makes me doubt the game's quality is consistent throughout the game. Their facial animations from the previous cutscenes were a lot more impressive, and art wise the look of some of these assets is a tad too much on the cartoony side (vegetation at the beginning for instance) which sends me a different vibe than their e3 demo.

    i havent been following the uncharted marketing campaign for almost a month now...

    yeah havent really seen anything outside of the screens they initially sent. After playing the first one I know I'm buying the second anyways, may as well be surprised

    Been playing the MP demo, really digging it. Really like the blend of shooter and platformer since there's so much space to move around in vertically in every map. It does take an awful lot of shots to take down other players, but once you get used to it then its no biggy. Also really cool to see them have a recording feature ala Halo 3's, makes you appreciate even more how great looking this game is.

    I was actually slightly writing off the MP as being slight throwaway, but its really a lot of fun, plus they have a nifty currency/upgrade system. Might end up spending some time with this if MW2 doesn't take most of it

    The Dark Knight movie was #1 on IMDB when it came out since everyone kept giving it good reviews. Then it came down when all the "bad" and good reviews were mixed together. I'm not saying Uncharted 2 is not deserving these scores and I'm already considering buying PS3 for that score might be very off what it comes down to...

    Just got home from my vacation in New York, and I picked it up on my way home from the airport. Been playing it the entire day more or less non-stop to ease off the jet lag, I'm at about 75% through it claims, its been absolutely amazing from the very start, definite GOTY for me so far.

    I didn't buy the first one, but this one seems a million times better than the first one in many aspects. I think I'll buy both now just so I get the story all the way through.
