Crysis 2

Don't think so! Welcome!
-
no he's not, he sent me an email asking for information about crysis 2 a while back, i didn't respond because, well, NDA; and professional behaviour..
but it looks like he is trying to stir up some trouble!
I would love to say more about it but I think anything I say could be taken out of context or used inappropriately without the right amount of information, ya know. so I say nothing!

That E3 demo looked fantastic and amazingly fun. Good job guys.

-
Ahh, awesome demo guys. Who's working on Central Station Exterior now? It's changed a LOT
(for the better
) -

Those E3 demos were great! From what I've seen of the game so far, looks like you'll be spending a bit more time with the marines than the first one which I like. More people = more chaos

I'll be waiting for uber HD Ultra quality PC screens!!!

Just finished the first one. Whaaat !
The only part of the game I really enjoy is when you start fighting aliens (fantastics levels). Levels with korean are tooo long and not very enjoyable because, except for the firts level, I always have the far cry feeling (I didn't finish :-| ) with the gameplay and with the stupid AI.But if crysis 2 keep the alien gameplay side, I'll probbly enjoy it more
QuoteAnd WTF the end, they return in the ice dome for Prophet and the game finished

-
Yeah really bad ending.

I built a new cheapo machine with onboard graphics this week. Tried out the Crysis demo tonight.
1) Playable FPS during the intro when the camera's outside the plane/overlooking the island.
2) Terrible inside with the dudes.
3) Good again outside, including going up the beach.
4) Terrible again when I go inland into the brush to find Aztec. I quit at this point.
Still, significantly better than I was expecting. The pop-up ui to mod your guns was really super fucking neat. Hope that comes back in Crysis 2 I guess!

You need to play the full version, the demo tech was improved a lot as it was full of technical hiccups like you mentioned...

Well. I think we cleared that up.
The surprise wasn't the terrible fps, it was when it was playable. I've given up on replaying Bioshock because the performance is low enough to annoy me during gameplay on this machine (oddly enough though Dead Space in the same engine runs way better and looks amazing).
-
Bioshock = UnrealEngine3
DeadSpace = Godfather engine
And yes, don't play Crysis1 demo, that build is so bad. Even the release build of Crysis1 is a bit meh, patch 1.2 fixes a lot of performance issues with the game.
-
it kind of defies the point to play crysis on a computer that can barely play it. even if it can, what have you gained?

Damn, really? I thought for sure I heard Dead Space was UE3. Wikipedia agrees with you, too. I guess everyone should be using the Godfather engine then.

I think I'll hold out buying Crysis until I have a dedicated GPU.
I've got my eye on a $60 Palit GT240 (cheap ass pc gaming fo life). -
Ey, where are the mapcorepeople..

I'm in the art pit, no one is allowed there, definitely not a camera man.

I'm in a different country
