Just played the demo as they fixt the connection. It was fucking fantastic, I had the time of my life. especially with the alien, pred is cool too. You need a match to take in the controls but once you do it's so much fun.

Here is a quick guide if you do not know what you are doing, also play alien if you are new, as they are pretty OP, they can clearly see anyone, even trough walls.

As an alien it's pretty fucking simple, wanna go up a wall hold the mouse 3, don't just press it near the wall.

Wanna jump over somewhere, look at it and press space. Wanna get away real quick, hold q.

Fast melee is mouse 1, heavy melee (aka tail) is mouse 2. If you wanna do a 1 hit kill get behind something and press e. also you stick to everything, so if lets say a pred comes on a beam/bridge, just walk to the side and walk on the underside, get behind them and kill them.

As a Pred, press F to switch vision modes, mouse 1 is light melee, mouse 2 is fast melee, hold both mouse 1 and mouse 2 to block. Press R for cloak.

Also press shit to focus, focusing shows you where neat things are. Also if you get the shoulder cannon, holding mouse 3 will begin the autolock, if all three stripes form a triange you have a lockon and a one hit kill.

If you focus you can also choose where to jump, while focusing you will see red circles where you will land if you jump, press space while focusing to jump

To do a one hit melee, get behind something and press e. Choose which weapons you use with 1-4 number buttons. You start with no guns.

If you are a muhreen, then meh.

You can change what you play in the lobby. You see your portrait, most likely muhreen, well in the left upper corner of the portrait are 3 different symbols which are easy to overlook, press a symbol to switch to that type of char.

Game is smooth and fun, a very good improvement on it's very old predecessors.

The game and controls are simple to use its just the game isn't anything special, well at least not from a Dm perspective. Demo needs to showcase more of the game.

Why not? if you liked the previous games, you should love this. If you liked the hidden you should also love this.

Who doesn't like the previous games and the hidden.

The previous games were pretty good, but I really want to try better game modes as I hate DM. I will wait for reviews. Like I said in my first post and like you said, the game is better then most people have made it out to be if u give it some time. I am only planning to buy BFBC2, because its the best mp game ever. I can to wait for other new releases to go on sale. As we all know now, steam delivers on great sales. So I can wait to play this game.

I watched my brother play it on the xbox360, and then played it a bit myself, and overall it felt so-so.

Graphically-wise it looks top notch, the map (the only map available on the demo?) is very pretty and well made. Sounds are good too, it's a pleasure to hear the movement detector noise again *wants to watch Aliens again!*, and the ambience was good.

However the gameplay doesn't feel right, but maybe it is because only DM was available. It was too much killing-move after killing-move after killing-move, especially with the Alien. The marine seems to be pretty stoic and he doesn't feel right, he's slow as shit and he cannot crouch, come on.

The muzzle flash from the M41A is wayyyyyy too bright, you can't see what you're shooting. The close-combat feels pretty useless too, I hope devs will make it more useful.

I think making a demo with only the dm mode available was probably a mistake. My brother enjoyed it (he never played previous AVP games and is much of a console player), but I was rather confused with the gameplay stuff, still I liked it visually-wise.

I won't be as categoric as dux but I'll be waiting for a Steam low-price sale or something like this, I'm not thrilled enough to buy it now.

Ok just took a spin with the 360 demo, much more fun. wtf is with me switching to console these days lol. 3 friends and myself worked more so together, trying to simulate TDM and it was a blast. I learned more about the characters, controls and special abilities which I did not seem to find during my keyboard exploration. I guess I should have checked the keymapping, well anyway, the game has a lot of potential that I think will be unlocked with other gamemodes. Learning special abilities made the game 50% better.

I enjoyed playing it with the controller more so then mouse and keyboard. Also my 46inch tv with sound system does a better job of showcasing the game

But it seems to me to be retardedly hard to play an alien with a pad, on account that you have to quickly turn all direction horizontal or vertical. Unless you're locking on with the pred shoulder gun you're fucked.

I had thought the same thing but for me it was easier to play the alien and predator with the pad as its designed for it. The marine is easy to but felt better with mouse and keyboard. But if your elite with a game pad like I am , you wouldn't care.

I did, thanks. apart from far too much connectionproblems, the game struck me as awesome. took me a little while to get used to the game but then again I haven't played any of the previous aliens vs predator games.

Played the demo yesterday, took like 10 to 15 minutes from when I started trying to find a game until I actually found one that worked, certainly hope that's not something they're shipping with

When I finally got in I was playing as a Marine in a Free-For-All DM game (Took me as few deaths to realize that the other Marine wasn't very friendly at all ). Anyway, started awful, but after I started playing a bit more cleverly and used the motion-tracker it actually started getting pretty fun. I was still completely fucked when I went up against a Predator, but the fights against the Aliens were pretty fair.

Anyway, had completely written this game out as a pass before, but after that I might check it out if I can borrow it from someone.

For the love of god, didn't I explicitly write you should start with the Alien, and that the muhreen kinda sucks. What is this, do you think I'm here for your amusement?
