Story trailer and these shots look amazing. Rebellions seem iffy, they have produced plenty of crap, but also good games. Are they like Grin, in the sense that they take a lot of trow away short projects, but really shine when given the time and money to make a proper game.

It looks fantastic but they really need to tone down the specular maps, everything looks wet or polished to Hell

That's exactly what I adviced to a dev from Rebelion who came in France at Festival du Jeu-video!

that's just their shitty AO code tbh.

Yeah I did... We spoke about that when those screens were released. It's kinda cool, but It's definitely exagerated. In some areas, it looks like it has a fading out dark outline around the meshes.

They even exagerated on the AO of the textures (Bakes) itself, maybe they wanted to crank up the contrast, which I'm also ok with it, but again, exaggerated.

Don't know if this has been said elsewhere. But rebellion updated AVP1 and put it on steam as AVP classic 2000, selling for $5. No multiplayer yet, but they said it would be patched in. They also updated it to support widescreen resolutions and gamepads.
