Interwave Studios is a games development studio based in the Netherlands. Part owned by online advertising giants Techconnect, we are close to our first retail release, and you might just be who we need to make it happen!

We are an extremely dynamic and closely-knit group of games fanatics, as well as developers, and we are currently looking for talented and highly motivated 3D Environment and Prop Artists to join us in the development of our titles.

If you've always dreamed of a career in game development, we'll show you just how difficult and gruelling the work really is, in exchange for inordinate amounts of your private life, which will be held hostage, as part of our standard contract.

Our current project sports several salaried positions from September 2009 onwards, but we're looking for 3D wizards who can't wait, and want to join in the fun now.

Our ideal candidate is as follows:

    • Strong knowledge of 3D Studio Max 9/2008 with a strong portfolio and a passion for games.

    • Good Knowledge of unwrapping in your chosen 3D application, as well as Adobe Photoshop CS2/CS3.

    • Your portfolio will show work samples of textured models that are gritty and realistic - as well as sensible, game ready poly counts.

    • Knowledge of Valve's Source™ engine and it's compile tools, as well as sketching and basic concept skills are both a bonus.

Above all, we want our candidates to be enthusiastic about working in a team, under pressure, with a burning passion for games and graphically stunning content. The position can be occupied remotely provided that excellent communication is maintained.

Please e-mail a current C.V./Résumé or a portfolio website URL to [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!

I hope that wasn't serious because that is incredibly damaging in a job ad.

Nice to see people starting something up in Holland though, and taking the step from mod to game.

It is a developer joke, of course. Perhaps not appropriate with latent complaints regarding crunch time - we are obviously serious and respectful when it comes to developer's personal time, and are in fact very flexible to that end.

Yeah I *think* I might know a bit about those

Now I just need to convince myself if Finland or Holland is the better choice

Ehhh, I think it's cool So many job postings out there that are so tedious to read after awhile. If you paste them altogether they're far too similar. Good to see they're able to have a laugh and show off that they're not worried to do a bit of OT when the time comes.

Hope someone comes your way soon, InterWave!
