Or they could just leave the server and play somewhere else. Which is what I do when I get a laggy host.

Use that, with lightweight, marathon and commando, with a pistol with knife attachment, and you can't loose.

I have like 200 more losses than wins, because I always quit servers due to lag. Not a problem for me imo, since I don't care about the stats. But what annoys me, is when a server is good until like 4000 points, then some bitch ass sister (of the host) goes on youtube and fucks it all up. What do to, get the additional 2k xp or leave with whatever you got?

I beat Modern Warfare Mobilized and the last level made me , the last boss is a automatically closing door that fails the mission if you don't get past it and the game ends with a 30 second touchscreen minigame while the real bad guys get away scott free. Your only accomplishment is recovering the nuke that you were supposed to have gotten in level 1. There's no good reason the bad guys just don't flee with the nuke anyway instead of setting it off, the mission's out in the middle of nowhere in an oil refinery, and they have a ton of time to set up everything while waiting for you to grind through the red shirts, and they get away anyway, it's not like it was a last stand for them. It totally took out any feeling of accomplishment there could've been to beating it.

Apparently it has been patched today to fix that glitch, but I read that it's not on the Xbox

Well updating it on the Xbox means a title update, and that costs monies after your first one (or two?), but given how large a role the MP plays in MW2 then I figure they didn't have to ask anyone for permission to do it.

I read somewhere that they would actually ban people from XBL if they used the glitch. Anyone want to confirm that or not? If it's true, it's pretty damn harsh.

I was under the impression they tried to do as much with config files as possible - so that simply connecting to IWNET would update a few files and clean out any bugs without having to actually release full-on patches.

Whether this is fixable like that.. who knows.

Well that is true, but from what I've heard that is limited to them changing playlists/game modes and such in the game, and only accessing existing code. I'm pretty sure this is classified under bugs a would require a more fundamental fix, but yeah, who knows if they have some genius system where they can actually patch it in without a title update

Played 5 different games tonight with some guys from work. Every game had been hacked in which everyone had infinite ammo.

yeah recently there have been alot of cheaters that is completely ruining games, calling in nukes etc...then your whole party have to leave and form a new lobby and look for a new game again since you cant votekick the cheater, maybe the host can, but fuck know who that is.

I might replay MW2 SP in a month or so... SP is awesome but quite short, but I feel I got my moneys worth. I really disliked the MP tho, for various reasons.

This non-dedicated servers thing, makes the MP experience look like your playing with random and unpredictable bots, not actually human beings. And the fact that you can't comunicate with people in the lobby adds to that, all in all, MW2 MP is a fail to me.

Even the gameplay is not fun at all, is too much about getting streaks so you can nuke the map, and not about the frags and the strategy like once was. You're always dying from the back, or some rocket that was shot at you, bla bla... The console generation is corrupting our games.

This cheating buisness wouldn't be anywhere near as bad if IW simply added the option to kick players. Seriously, did they forget to add this or something?

I forgot to mention that this was on the 360. Its the first time I have ever seen anything like this on it. I curious as to how they did it.

Recently every game I've been in, there have been hackers... I wish that VAC would kick in soon, because the game isn't fun anymore.

so steam AND IW are both retards.

my account is english, my address is english, all my games ahve been bought and are set to english. but all of a sudden when i buy mw2 on steam it gives it to me in german.

and deleting the zone files means the game simply crashes on launching, instead of downloading missing files.

i even gifted the game to a non german friends' account. and he has been given the german version.

fucking failures, every man and child involved.
