The one thing which really irks me in this game is how low-res the skyboxes are. ![]()

Actually, I only noticed that in the
Quote"aeroplane scrapyard"
level near the end of the game, maybe because It's a fairly simple looking level. That skybox, not only is a shitty photo, but you could tell the image compression a lot.

I loved the "The Rock" shower scene as well

If you liked the sniping parts you'll love the Spec Ops mission "Hidden" HP, plays like All Ghillied Up From MW1 except that you're on your own and it's fucking hard as nails D:
I don't think Q3 can handle 3D skyboxes, you don't really notice the low-res skyboxes too much as the surrounding detail is all modelled in 3D.
-
I'll try d3!

Heh, just goes to show that you shouldn't put names on the books in games. Blank is the way to go!

Btw, speaking of low res skyboxes, the
Quoteoil rig
skybox takes the price. Donno if its much better on PC, but on 360 the icebergs there were eyeopening low res, and it looked like they weren't part of the skybox image but rather piece of geometry in the scene. Just seemed like a weird place to let something like that slide, since I figure most people just took a few seconds to check out the view, at least I did

That video annoyed me because the few things they did shoot (except the blowup doll and cell phone) reacted to getting shot in an interesting way, but they didn't shoot every little thing and I wanted to see them shoot every little thing

If that was me playing every single one of those pictures hung on a wall would've gotten a bullet, and GOD HELP YOU Infinity Ward if it didn't fall down and break as a result.

Multiplayer is fun so far.
-
LOL I never even saw that blowup doll... wtf?

I've had enough of IWNet. The latency is just starting to tip me over the edge of what I think is acceptable.

-
Since pirates got to play the game I've been having much better ping, probably due to the extra influx of people playing, haven't encountered any hacks so far. Which is a big concern as those people only have to fear losing a disposable steam account.

Just finished Alpha section of Spec Ops on Veteran with a friend, good stuff. The bridge was too easy IMO compared to other Alpha levels.

Rumor on the web:
Hackers are able to send trojans etc. via. IW.net to other players.
Quite a few threads on mw2 forums about people getting virus from playing the game.
If true = OH GAWD.

It keeps getting worse and worse.

-
It does... MP was good yesterday, had a few good games, today was unplayable.
Had to migrate host 3 times in 30 minutes, and 2 failed attempts. What the hell is happening? And no it's not the connection, we have the best internet connection in the country.
