    Oh dear.

"3" games, SP for $60 and MP for $60, Coop for $60. Oh dear, an "entire" game is going to cost us $180 ~= €180. Good luck.

It's like the Activision board of directors is holding dedicated servers to ransom lol

I can foresee a lot of people using the dedi server hack which makes me wonder how many accounts VAC is going to ban in 2 weeks time. Oh, hey. Does anybody remember when EA was the baddy of the industry?

Would it help to copy paste your install directory, crack it, create an alternate steam account, and play like that when servers are enabled? Cause as far as I know steam doesn't do ip bans, so never have to worry about mw2 or my whole primary account being banned if bans happen.

When has there ever been a demand to pay for anything?

best bet would be to copy and use the .exe crack (some cracks out there actually incorporate steam, whilst some don't) that works on your install-type.

vac is only bans you from playing where vac is concerned. so multiplayer basically. you can still buy and play singleplayer games and play on non-vac servers.

cracked servers will not be running vac and will most likely not even use steam. i wouldn't be surprised to see things like HLSW come back to popularity. what a massive step backwards that would be.

i would love to see someone come out and give us that truth though: "matchmaking" is not something that was decided upon to improve the pc experience, but is simply there because they did a lot of work to make sure the console players (aka "frat boys") have a consistent playing experience and never have their opinions of themselves challenged by getting beat horrendously; and it was easier to just compile that for PC rather than working out how to incorporate CoD4's server browser with the new technology.

speaking of which, CoD's server browser has always been pretty shit, there is a lot of unintuitive behaviour, which you really notice when you come from something like valve's server browsers. i almost feel like instead of solving the problem, which was a shitty browser, we were just given a port of the console version. and then charged more. for the priveledge.

The cracked MP just lets pirates play with legit players, there are no servers out yet

No point in using it over normal mp.

Haha, had the game running so I couldn't resist checking if that was what actually happened if you shot him, would've been an awesome easter egg if it did

    kill Makarov

.. they all respawn after you walk out of the rooms so you can do it as much as you want

Finally beat The Suspension Bridge on hardened, didn't spot those 6 fucking rpgs sitting there... what a clown I am.

Not regretting my purchase at all, haven't had so much fun in a game for ages

so i used the console unlocker and changed the ping back to text based, this is what i gotjesus fucking christ

playing on my pirated copy btw

So, not only do we get assfuck pings, but pirates can just jump right in, and then use the console to get access to all sorts of goodies.

    Finished it yesterday!

Well, i still got to finish Uncharted 2, but MW2 is most likely, game of the year for me! Hot damn...

The plot is actually quite good! I also like the plot twist,

    Quote

with shepherd betraying you and all, was a non-predictable twist. Too bad that ghost died, was a great character, but hey Price died in the previous title and he's back, so..

    Quote

The way you kill Shepherd was awesome, just like a villain of a good movie would put up a good fight before dyeing.

There's a lot of variety to the levels and themes, and I felt they just have the right length. Being a level artist, It's been a while I've been wowed by game environments before. The levels are perfectly done in my opinion. From lighting, to geometry, prop art, scripting, etc.

    Apart from

    Quote

    the DC

level, which has a great background music, I really didn't felt hanz zimmer touch into the soundtrack, I would love to listen to the whole OST if there is any?

    Memorable moments:

    - Lot's and lot's of sniping on this game, which the first lacked a bit, this one compensates.

    Quote

    - The EMP rocket, and then a huge part of US goes black, helicopters and planes raining from the sky, that was epic win man!

    - Shower section in the Castle level!

    - Just Like Old Times level is great (the one you search the Afghan cave network for Shepherd.)

It's pretty much it, now onto some MP phun! I might play SP again on the hardest dificulty tho.
