    Lol, oh cool then. Sorry.

It's hard to see so many people assuming that we hate PC and only care about money, after working your ass off for one and half years to make the best game you can.

We really wouldn't put out something if we thought it sucked. Why not just cut PC if that was the case.

    Anyways, sorry again Rick_D.

Hopefully more info will come out and people will try out the new system.

It is totally alright bro, like I said, I fucking love IW and I think you guys have put out some of the best games of our generation. So surely if you guys make a decision there was a good reason to do it.

I am afraid I bought into the "OH GOD THEY'RE RAPING US" hype, where as Friechamp said, we should all just wait and see what the details are.

I'm still on the "OH GOD" bandwagon until I hear a better reason for no dedicated servers available on the side besides that ridiculous" bifurcate the community" line. Sorry compoSITe!

that's right, stick it to the man! i mean, when was the last time developers were on the side of the gamers?

people seriously need to think for themselves sometimes...

Will trying it out be free or will you have to pay 60,- to "try" it out?

I don't see how this is "on the side of the gamers", and I am thinking for myself, I'm thinking to myself I've always had infinitely more fun finding a regular server with a regular crowd when I play online multiplayer games than when I join random games I don't know to try them out, and not being able to do that, to have a main, central "home" server to play on where I can trust a certain quality of game, severely kills my interest in a game. I never, ever would've played Team Fortress 2 as long as I did if it weren't for the Lost Continents servers, if every day when I loaded TF2 I had to scan down the server browser to find a server that wasn't 24/7 2fort instant respawn party mode achievement server, with a decent ping and player count, instead of just clicking the Favorites tab, then clicking the LC server with the least amount of players.

I also know that with my playing skills and habits I perform better and thus have more fun the more packed a server is. I kill more (while dying about the same ) when I'm one of fifty instead of one of sixteen.

yarr that's the only thing that i am slightly anxious about - not being able to play with a group of people regularly. perhaps with further steam integration it will be easier to track and jump into peoples' games. but it seems the way of the community server is gone?

Funny you should mention that, as:http://%7boption%7d

thats funny since (afaik) battlefield: heroes didnt have a server browser or private servers when i tested it, but a system similar to the one mw2 will have

If this is the case, I will not be picking up MW2 anymore Maybe the 360 version when it drops some but I dont see myself paying $70 bucks for the game + 50 for live. $60 for the pc version would have been fine if it had come with dedicated servers.

The no SDK part is what bugs me (assuming that's still a no go, haven't followed any of this recently), I don't play online ever, but I like trying out editors for stuff... Without it, Im not sure if I'll still go pc or pick up the 360 one to play lan with friends...

Does anyone felt the urge to pirate this game now? No, srsly... Isn't that what IW is looking for? An excuse for people to pirate it? Because the more workarounds people find to fight piracy, the more they encourage it.

Oh well... tbh, I'm not really interested in the MP of MW2. I mean, I know it will be good, I know a lot of people will play it, and I might even give it a try. But, for some reason, It's the SP I'm reeealy excited about. So I guess the one thing I can really be mad, is the price. It's like they know it will be a GOTY or something, and they are charging full price and extra... guess what IW dudes, all your titles have been GOTY's so far, but I have my doubts about this one, for some reason.

and about that dedicated server prob thingie... I'll sum it up..

    yeah

When a game doesn't interest me, it doesn't suddenly mean I want to torrent it

That image would be so much better without the subtitles in the image themselves, the imagery of a car pileup vs cheers is self explanatory, though personally I would've used a Hurricane Katrina refuge camp instead of the traffic.

Edit: Or maybe the slum from Session 9, see, we PC gamers are the poor advanced lifeforms marooned on this console gamer's world

A pseudo-intellectual film about an empty, rotten and obsolete location, whose biggest exposure to gamers was probably its homage in a console game.

This does seem like a bit of a strange decision and it'll be interesting to see what becomes of it. The solution they are implementing would have been harder for IW to implement than just sticking to dedicated servers, and I’m not sure how smooth party lobbies will be. The benefit of Live is that you can organise games while people are on the dashboard or playing something else.

This guy knows what's up, what happened to him? Does he not work at IW anymore?
