Oh my God that's rediculous! Does this mean the game is finished and going Gold soon?

I don't think I'll be bothering with that edition, proposterous!

..anyone know how much all that costs?

He says the release date in the video, can't be bothered to watch it again. What was it, November or something?

That was just the packaging prototype, which looks damn near 100% done. The game itself still has plenty of time before it needs to go gold since street date is Nov 10.

Well, not that this really matters, but in theory they could have submitted the game and have it ready to get manufactured right now, there are plenty of cases where games are done way before they actually ship.

But considering that COD4 is only 2 years old, and they probably want this to make as absolutely big a bang as possible (since it needs to launch the Modern Warfare franchise ) then they're probably giving it all the polish it can get.

Anyway, although I've pretty much permanently gone away from buying special editions of games then this one has me intrigued.

    I'm such a tool D:

I only ever used to buy them back when it was the only way to get the DVD version of a game. Though I can't see putting down $160 or whatever for this, no matter how cool it seems.

Nightivision is cool but i wouldnt pay 150$ for a game just so that i get nightvision. If I needed nightvision i would've bought something regular propably not a cheapo game bundle one . Interesting idea nonetheless.

    Wow.

NVGs that are Gen. 1 (aka crap) cost around $250 and up.

Gen. 2 (ok) costs about $1500 and up.

Gen. 3 is about ~$3000 and not available to normal civilians (aka civilians outside of US).

So I'd guess the box will cost $300.

Cool, I really like the look of that Rio map, reminds me of crossfire (or any of the middle eastern maps now that I think of it )

According to certain members on the board; keeping faithful to what makes a game awesome is not a sequal, its an expansion pack.

Well, if there's enough content in there, to justify another title, I definitely don't mind having to pay full price for it.

What about the view jerk when hit. Is it like COD4 SP, or like CoD4mp and WaW sp & mp?
