Kinda like AC2, and undoubtedly this year's two most anticipated/media darling titles.

How do you make AC2 one of the 2? I haven't really heard about that many people who really loved the first one. (I'm sorry, I know it's your baby )As for topping MW, I think it can. If they properly promote it, doesn't leak before release and is released on all platforms at the same date.

Despite the fact that the IW COD series has always been popular and very good I still think COD4 was 2007s biggest surprise as to just how good it was. So it’s now in a position where it’s going to be a lot easier to be critical of it. But is there any question that it won’t be the biggest selling title of this year?

And more power to them as long as multiplayer has some new ideas to keep it fresh and the single player builds on that of COD4 I am happy.

I wasn't pulling that one out of my ass, certain figures I know about are giving me a good idea of how high the expectations are.

My only question regarding this game is if it can top the 12 million copies the first MW game sold. We all know it will rock and we all know 5 million copies sold would be a disappointment. Kinda like AC2, and undoubtedly this year's two most anticipated/media darling titles.

It's definitely gonna be interesting to see how this pans out in terms of sales. In these economically troubled times one would think that getting up on the kind of numbers COD4 moved would be a good deal harder, but then again the COD series has turned into one of the most popular franchises i modern gaming history, so who knows.

during economic disasters people tend to focus more on entertainment to keep themselves happy.

So I think games will sell even better now

Yeah, I rather believe that development will be harder, not getting people to buy.

Just because a can of beer is more expensive than 10 years ago doesn't mean that people stopped drinking.

Well I at least wouldn't be surprised to see MW2 sell fewer copies than COD4. Its probably still gonna be at least around 8-10m, but I doubt it'll sell through more copies than COD4.

But who knows, maybe it has some absolutely amazing unique selling point that we don't even know about that will make everybody by it droves

But besides that then I kinda doubt this theory that now there's gonna be sold even more games because people have more time. I think games with lots of content and games with a strong multiplayer will stand stronger and sell better, but stuff with just a single player campaign will have a much harder time selling. Take stuff like Dead Space and Mirrors Edge last year, as opposed to something like COD:WW and Fallout 3 which sold insanely.

Well there are more consoles and PC's out there now then 2 years ago that can play the game properly. It's success will guarantee it massive hype and exposure. It's a safe bet for consumers which I guess matters more in a economic downturn. Maybe it will even have a PC demo! Anyway love the teaser, the spectacular moments that IW creates make it worthwhile to play trough the SP even if you do not like a lot of the gameplay like me and make it a memorable experience, the MP delivers immense amount of fun for a long time, to bad PC gaming will ruin it a bit.

Also Furyo, UBi will be disappointed if AC2 only sells 5 mil? + :megamon:

GI scans, although only 5 out of 10 pages so far.

Sounds good so far, not adding co-op to the main campaign seems like a good call.

I hope they manage to give them accurate weapons. Ala SAS using the C8 SFW instead of an M4 etc. The M4 in the fps shot got some kinda SIR rail

You're worried about riot shield? Riot shield? How does that even compare to co-op?

Anyway looks great for the rest tbh, like they are removing everything that I did not care for in the sp, well apart from the viewjerk [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]
