    That old thread evades me.

So, it's pretty awesome. It looks goddamn ridiculous and feels great. Yet to play online, still messing around with a few characters. Also the 360 stick is a bunch of shit. Dualshock pad was a lot more bearable. Might look into one of the Madcatz fight pads if I can manage one.

I was going to make a thread but...

It's not out here until Friday but I'm looking forward to it. I prefer the ARC titles if I'm honest, but if you don't like Street Fighter you basically have no soul. I'm going to get the PS3 version as most of my friends are, but I hear their basically identical. The lack of lobby is going to be annoying for the group of us, but I'm sure we'll struggle on and apparently there will be a patch later. Anyone with PSN is welcome to add me as a friend if you want a rumble, details in the relevant thread.

How does the arcade mode feel, with real players challenging you as you beat down the CPU? It sounds cool on paper, but I was wondering how it worked in practice.

I haven't enabled the request challenge yet, I'm not ready to feel absolutely horrible about myself just yet.

Played it a few months back on a trip to japan and got addicted again. Once I got back I got SF2HD and SF4 has been my most anticipated title. Can't wait to play this.

Too bad it's delayed in canada

Someone got it early so I've had a little play on this, totally forgot how to play traditional fighters - I tried to activate faultless defence to block in the air! It’s really good though, can’t wait to get my copy and learn the ropes again.

Pulling off supers and ultras is almost pointless with the 360 controller.

There was no new, real street fighter after "Street Fighter II Turbo" to me....this might change now.

Is the PS3 the better controller for this like people were speculating, then? I don't know which version to get.

yeah, it appears that people prefer the PS3 controller on this especific title, kinda odd though, most of the time people prefer the Xbox360 pad for shooters and stuff. I guess PS3 pad is more suitable for kinda old school gaming.

I've yet to know a single person who didn't liked this game! Man, I can't wait!

Here's the GT review btw: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/45570.html

    Meh.

I'll try it out, but I've never liked Street Fighter. Soul Calibur is more my style of fighting game~

Well, it's because the 360 d-pad is terrible and you don't really use it for shooters. You could always pick up the fighting stick, I guess.

so, because it's popular, it's obviously the only right and true game to play.

i had to. you people really need to broaden your horizons.

Where do you get this idea from, maybe the PS3 d-pad is actually superior to the 360 one! It makes sense to me at least, I'm not a big fan of the 360 d-pad!

I suppose that makes sense. I did notice the other day (haven't had a 360 for long) that the D-pad isn't actually a D-pad at all, but is an analogue stick with a D-pad cover.

Not a bad idea on paper, but typically D-pads are used for the directional accuracy they have. In practice it just makes it finicky to use because of the potential of going at intermediate angles and stuff; quite a few times in Fable 2 I accidentally hit the wrong expression because of that damn thing.

Yea the 360 D-Pad is garbage. I prefer the controller for everything else tho over the the shitty dualshock 3.
