Whats the difference between EA and EA BIG? Is it a sub company?
Scary stuff to read.
Now I know where I am NEVER going to apply for a job when I get older.

obviously you havent played nightfire
quick update you may have already seen, but this issue made the GameDaily again this morning:
Quote from mikezillaThey've been on crunch with WoW for like 8 months. Blizzard is pretty scary when it comes to content creation, but people want to work there because they know the end product will justify their work.
EA doesn't quite have that.
I guess its kinda ok, then... but if i were to work 8 months on a project in crunchmode (=no life), i dont think id manage... i need atleast one day outside of work per week...
but all of that depends... i dont consider making maps a job...
the plot thickens...
Sad thing, we all know that devs push their employees to their limits but they somehow get some recompence and that doesnt seem to happen at EA. TBH I'm feeling quite bad about playing EA games now lol
I would definitely endure it if it were worth it, but EA is EA. I'd love to work somewhere like Blizzard, in fact the crunch as a certain appeal to it - I know I perform a lot better when the pressure is on, because it kills off my rampant procrastination and when it's all over everyone is all buddy-buddy.
(I know some people are going to post "BUT OMG, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE" as if only they have to work weekends and overtime, though. Try doing that with something you hate doing.)
you didnt like nightfire....? i thought it was pretty good from what i played in the demo....where you walk around in the water and shit and then find that hottie in the house
YOU MISUNDERSTAND THE DUFFMAN
