God of War III

    E3 demo last year on the floor of the Sony booth was pretty good. I got to play it upstairs in the booth but I think it was actually a different and not quite as spectacular section of the game. Still good though. I haven't tried the new demo yet but will later tonight.

    However...I am very happy that Sony came up with a good Kevin Butler TV spot for it. It doesn't show much of the game, but the ad is still funny.

    Edit: The demo on PSN was the same demo I played at E3 which was what everyone played at E3, so please ignore my asinine 1st paragraph above. Dur.

    Anyway, now that it is on PSN I finally was able to finish it all the way through. Overall I rate it as excellent for a brief demo and I think it shows off PS3 graphics well and somewhat innovative gameplay thinking for the GoW series, even if the basics are essentially the same. So another impressive 1st party game from Sony.

    Pandora's Box has a really nice twist for those that got the ultimate edition. Loving this game so far. Very tempting to skip GoW 2 to play through 3 first.

    Just played the first 30 minutes or so of it. Holy shit it's epic! Just so much going on at an absolutely grand scale at all times, the way the camera flies around makes it feel so huge like nothing I've seen in a game before. Can't wait to get home and start playing it for reals~~

    Played first 45 minutes of the game. Totally sick and epic. A must buy for any PS3 owner.

    If you liked the first 2 games and have not bought a PS3 yet, this is a good reason to buy it.

    Played it for about 3 hours yesterday, super tight game on all fronts. I knew it was coming, but I still loved the way they explained Kratos losing all his abilities/stats. For a minute I thought they were gonna try and keep him beefed up from the beginning and just ramp up on that throughout. It's still all good though

    I've been waiting to move back to Europe to get me a PS3, and I really just can't wait to settle down in my new apartment with a slim PS3, crank up the volume and play the whole trilogy back to back

    Agreed. Can't believe they're the first to do that, seems so obvious when you think about it. Now you can actually focus on whats going on, while interacting.
