    Not too shabby.

I don't know, but something seems off about the characters. They're more detailed, but at the same time less real. Alan especially looks off compared to the original.

Agreed, there’s something about the remastered Alan that looks off compared to the original model. I hope it works better in motion as I was put off by the original games facial animation.

Here's an article to go with that comparison video:

Yeah, seems alright. I like the new rocks especially, but everything else is just slightly off when compared to the original. It might just be a little more darker? Other than that, if you look in the last screenshots, there's noticeably less colour richness. I mean, it's good that the only things I can complain about are nitpicks.

Yeah, sometimes these comparison screenshots can be a hard sell too. Especially with a game with so many atmospherics and fog.

It all seems a little less gloomy, which I'm not sure if I like or not. The bloom on the original made the game feel very dreamy. The remaster is deffo a little sharper, and not as smooth around the light sources. Not a big deal. I'm just happy this is a great excuse to replay such a good classic.

I felt that too. The remaster appears to be a tad brighter than the original.

I’ll replay the X360 version and get those flasks, or play the PC version I wanted to play during the anniversary… but I’m otherwise just waiting for the sequel thank you very much. Can you imagine with the new engine what they can pull off?

The image quality is much better now. Crisp and sharp. But the game has a weird effect. The body animations are kinda "hard", artificial feeling.

That's a shame, I actually remenber finding the locomotion system to be really clunky, it goes beyond just animations.
