Sort of interesting but some of the things that stood out to me most were the animations - couldn't they have some contextual stuff like a catious walk cycle so it wouldn't look so retarded when you go from running from the cops to simply walking normally as you would down a calm street. it looks really off and kills any sense of immersion!

secondly the actual chase looked boring as fuck, there was no real feeling that you were running from someone or doing anything to avoid the cops other than simply walking down a linear path. there's only one option, how can you go wrong, so why feel any aprehension?

as far as voice acting and police dialogue go - it sounds fine, great in places, dunno what anyone is complaining about tbh.

also 7 years for this, i sure hope 6 of those years were spent playing ping pong in the rec room D:

Again I fail to see where anyone would be surprised.

Yeah, the writing was on the wall as soon as Microsoft was announced as publisher.

I'm still waiting for Fable 2

I'm sorry, but that trailer was horrible. I'll pick it up when it comes out, but I'm nowhere near as excited as I was before.

I personally liked the trailer.. I have been excited about this game for a long time as well . Its rather exciting that these games are getting stronger in narrative and each attempt seems to be rather awesome. I like the atmosphere and the small town environments as i grew up in a small town. This, Bad Company 2, Metro 2033 and SplinterCell pretty much all in the same quarter... geeze i feel spoiled already with mass effect 2 haha

What the fuck happened to those animations? The first few bits in the trailer are looking like some sort of animation concepts made during preproduction or something lol.

Also this game will never pay for its developement costs let alone make any profit

Yeah that's really weird. Even the animation in the logo at the end was a bit stiff, whereas in past trailers it's been great. Something has to be wrong there.

PC version has been downright cancelled.

    Quote

Interestingly, Microsoft claims that the PC version has been cancelled because the PC platform is "too intimate"."Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen," a Microsoft spokesperson told Strategy Informer.

"We ultimately realised that the most compelling way to experience Alan Wake was on the Xbox 360 platform, so we focused on making it an Xbox 360 exclusive. Both Microsoft and Remedy have long histories in PC game development. This decision was about matching this specific game to the right platform."

    Source

Easily the most downright silly reason I have ever come across for cancelling a port.

lol that is such bullshit. But I stopped caring about this title, like I've said because of this dumb attitude to wards PC's.

Seriously, fuck you developers and publishers who are giving this mighty platform the middle finger. Take that finger and stick it up your ass.

I guess when you release possibly one of the greatest PC games ever made and then no one buys it, kinda makes you readjust your business a bit.

My guess is the majority of people bitching about Alan Wake pirated the fucking shit out of Max Payne 2.

So that is Microsoft's strategy to calm the PC crowd over the announcement that the PC version is cancelled: a blatant lie? Smooth Microsoft. Very smooth.

    Just noticed one of the comments on there;

    Quote

"Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC developed in a reasonable amount of time so we have some spare budget to port them over, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen took 5 years to develop so we just want them out the door, and recoup our losses."
