I wanted to paste a HijackThis log on Castlecops because i think i'm infected. However i have checked through the registry and msconfig aswell as run AdAware, AVG and SpyBot S&D in safe mode. But there is this file that i have no clue why it is on my system and running. So i thought people here are computer geeks if some one ever heard of the file or know anything about it. At least until CastleCops are up and running again. Wounder if they got hacked maybe?

Anyway the file is gzafebel.exe i have search Google and nothing comes up. And i think it has the wierdest name really lol. Any one knows?

It's all ok now. I have dedicated the whole day to go through the whole computer and everything is gone now. Still have no clue to what happened to CastleCops though. Any one heard anything?

spell binder , Castle cops went down in 2008 Greg King was responsible for that one . He was making inappropriate posts on the board . His posts were moderated . he replied " If one more of my posts are moderated you'll be sorry " Then is when the DOS attack began . Paul had been gone from CC for about 5 months or so before that but was still in charge (paul works for Microsoft ) but unfortunately the sites continues to be down Maybe one day when paul gets time he will bring the forum back online . We would all Love that i am sure .

Well if you need me spell i'll be around just hit me up !

    What is castlecops?

It was a site that had info on certain files pertaining to malware. Basically, it was an anti-malware site/forum you could go to and get assistance on removing any infections you might have.

Omg I remember that site! Hijack-this was an awesome tool. I ended up deleting so much stuff I thought was malicious but was an integral part of windows and thus making my pc unbootable xD

Good memories, and angry siblings not being able to finish their essays

Didn´t know they closed down, was a really helpful forum (If you followed instructions and didn´t do things yourself like I did)

    chimeray ,

This is the Main reason that they closed down.

They were constantly the target of cyber attacks and cyber crime of the sorts But once GK sent his botnet that crippled the already weak CC forgood *after losing Paul to Microsoft* So Paul and Robin decided to close the doors .
